So my hubby thought would be nice for him to bring Max down to the lake with our German Shep. I was napping or my answer would have been No. I know mean Mom.
Well Reggie swims fine and just plays in water and fetches and comes right back (We live lake front) plus he does not like getting wet past his manly parts :lol2::lol2:
So anyways Max is happily playing at shore and run in and out and playing with his big brother. Then a light bulb went off in his head. He saw the tiny island out in the middle of the lake!!!! He took off as fast as those little legs could go and made a break for it. He said it was the funniest thing he saw as he was so determined to get there and the look on his face was priceless.
Then he realized "He went to far as was laughing the whole time" So hubby had to dive in after him and Max was like "Oh hell no, and kept going faster"
Priceless moment. I can just see him doing this :lol2::lol2::lol2:

How funny!! Would have loved to see that as well!! I wonder what he was after on that island
Mitzy does NOT swim. She will get to the water's edge but never gets in

I have never seen him swim at all or even look like he wanted to go near the water really. That is honestly why I sorta freaked out when hubby told me. He has this tendency to treat Max that same as all our other dog's which where always German Shepard's. Which I try but I just would have been more "Mom like on it" then he is.
There is a small lake we live on, they allow boats so guess not that small and in middle there is a Island with duck's, geese ect.
Oh also the vet said Max need to watch his weight and after he comes back from hanging with his brother and Dad I see a HUGE yellow mark on side of his beard. I am like whats that in the semi freak out as trying to grow his coat. Hubby responds "Oh next door they were having lunch so we went there and I dropped a hot dog on his head"............HELP!!!!

Hubby has not grown up yet, maybe 50 will help? I doubt it. He really means well but he is just well ........But on the bright side he has never said a word about what I bring home or any pet needing a home.
The day we got Max I was walking across the yard and he is like where are you going with that look on your face "I am like to get this puppy " Don't you dare bring another dog in the house with just loosing Savannah, "You want to turn away a puppers who needs a full time Mommy and Daddy? No go get him.
"Go get the puppy and bring it home you will anyways, as long as he is a underdog he is welcome" He has the kindest heart and loves all the animals and would never turn away one if we can help, So even though he gets Max ad Reggie messy and lets them do naughty things I would have to say I have the a wonderful hubby who really treats our furbabies like royalty and just wants them to have a wonderful life.
He is the giant fun machine I am the Mom :) works for us

Aww that's sweet!!
I have a confession.. I am the bad guy in my marriage. I let my doggies do naughty things and feed them goodies from the fridge :tongue: I even let them on the couch when dads not home :lol2: LOL I even let Mitzy get dirty  but I'm the one that bathes her anyways :D

I couldn't conceive of not letting Shammi on the sofa. For him it's about the only way to rise above the stigma of being an "ankle biter." Besides it's kinda fun having a TV buddy who doesn't complain when I watch History, Discovery, Military Channel, The Sopranos, or Mythbusters.

Oh hey those are all great shows! We love to watch them.
Jes, Hubby swears Max's says "Please shave me so I don't look like a stupid girl do it and I won't bark for a week"

Mandy thinks I'm nutty because I tell her Shammi can communicate with me.
At around 6 or 7 in the morning the tongue-in-nose is pee time. If I don't get up at about 8 or 830 more tongue and jumping up and down on my chest is "Hey... You need to build an ark..." Him jumping up at me and nipping at my hands and pulling on them is "let's play, get down on the floor with me." I firmly believe if you observe them, much like you'd observe your spouse, you can tell almost exactly what they're thinking. And Shammi has taught me things--like that I really enjoy crawling in bed ALL DAY and doing a big fat NOTHING. Just sleep. After years of sleeping 3 or 4 hours a day I'm starting to think the lil guy is the next Albert Einstein or Dr. John Nash.
