It has been a while since I've posted pics!

I think the last time I posted pics, I posted pics of a 14 week old Truffles. This isn't Truffles but it's her sister (littermate) Emma. I placed Truffles as a pet and boy, is she a spoiled girl now!!

This is Bellarata's Glee by Design and she is now 9 months old. My 11 year old daughter Marina has taken possession of her and this is 'her' dog to show and finish and I have to say, they are doing pretty well!

Here they are hanging out at the hotel during a show weekend. Emma loves Marina and this is her favorite place to sit, where ever Marina is!!

Getting a major win at age 7 mos

And here they are at Woofstock, getting yet another point!

Marina has put 8 points on her puppy so far, which is a really impressive. I didn't even get a single point on Lois until she was over a year old. We are showing the next two weekends, so we'll see how they do! We'll be showing in Ventura, Ca and Carmel, Ca if anybody is in the area and wants to come!

In junior showmanship, Marina has also done really well! She got her 10th qualifying win for Westminster showing Lucy, so we'll be headed to New York in Feb. We'll also be showing at Eukanuba in Long Beach in december. Busy year already!
Thanks for looking!

Marina is doing so very well and so are the fluffs!!! She is such a "natural" for the ring and showing; she must have had a good teacher. :)

Those are great pictures and they really show off your line and how well you are doing with your breeding program!! CONGRATS TO YOU, MARINA AND EMMA. You should be so proud!!!

Thanks for sharing.......Little Emma is such a beautiful maltese.

Question: How many points do they need to be declared "finished?" Do you have any idea what the age of the youngest finished maltese is?

Oh thank you!!
I know I love the name Emma too! Although... I probably shouldn't say this... but she gets called Erma more than Emma, LOL. My daughter's favorite show is Glee so all I can say is that it is a Glee thing!

Thank you soo much! i've had some really wonderful opportunities that have allowed me to breed some really nice puppies right from the start - that doesnt always happen!

For a championship, they need 15 points, but two of those have to be 'major wins' which is winning against a certain number of competition. In california, a 3 pt major means 5 dogs or 6 bitches.

Technically, a 6 mos old maltese can be finished. They have to be at least 6 mos to show but puppies doesn't usually win over adults because usually they don't have the coat to compete.

Wonderful pictures and such a joy seeing a girl her age involved in a great *sport* I really believe a child who has a passion for animals rarely has the dreaded teenage problems like many. I myself was in dog's and horse so they always could find me and was on the go non stop, trouble no time I had a horse show to be at!:D:D
