My husband is a retired Fire Chief and I just wanted to remind everyone that since we sometimes must leave our furbaby at home alone it is a good idea to post "Pet Inside" stickers on our windows. Most local Fire Departments provide the stickers free of charge for the asking. The window stickers have a place to write your pet's name, vet's name and phone number. Also, if you are going to be away from home for an extended amount of time, say most of the day, it is a good idea to confine your pet to one area of the house. Maybe the kitchen or a bed or bathroom. That way if there was an emergency the firefighters could locate the pet more easily. Just food for thought.
