Well I think I'm going to cut off Mitzy's topknot :( Its not decided yet but I feel like she is just not getting used to it and its been 3 years since I've started putting bands in. I literally put it in and change it on average 3 times a day.. twice if I'm lucky and 5 or 6 times if she is just unruly

Got any cute cuts without topknots??

Ohhh......:( I love the top knots. Can you wrap the band tighter and then fold it over so it doesn't look like a ponytail? Maybe she dosn't like the feel of the ponytail flopping around on top of her head. When it gets long enough you can braid it....;) If you really want to cut it off, I'm sure she'll look just as cute without it.

I love the top knots and the bows (yes, my name is Elizabeth and I have a bow addiction), but before I had Abbie, Zoe was in what my groomer called a profile cut. She had to go in verey 8 weeks. I liked her hair like that (see attached pics), but I really love Zoe with the longer hair and topknot. It's more work and I have to re-do them twice a day, but it doesn't take long. BTW- I have used many different types of bands and I really love Susan's (and they come in cute colours too!)

I am sure Mitzy will be adorable whatever you decide.

I do fold it over sometimes but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference :(

I like that cut!! I don't want the hair super short up there but short enough I don't have to tie it back out of her face. I've decided to keep Mitzy in a puppy cut too. Were just way to active always doing outdoor activities and she gets so dirty. I'd much rather her have fun than worry about her getting dirty and keeping her inside. Maybe when she is older and more calm I will try growing it out again.

LOL I don't think so  I worry when my belly gets big I'm not going to be able to do it everyday anyways :o

I have a question about growing out the hair for the topknot? What do you do with the hair until it's long enough for a "sprout"? Belle's is getting to the point where it sticks up between her eyes and I just want to grab a scissors and cut it off.

You have to be hormonal!!!!! Cutting a topknot??????? Oh dear, I never thought I would hear that from you..........How can a Morkie NOT have a topknot???? Maybe you should cut the topknot a little shorter so it doesn't flop around but to cut it so there is NO topknot???

Yes, listen to her Jess. You must not be thinking straight. Didn't the Dr's tell you that women lose brain cells with each pregnancy?? It's really true...just wait about 6 months before making decisions like that.

Jasper wears both topknots and ponytails.. I cant for the life of me do a topknot so hes stuck with a ponytail until I take him to his groomer and she does a wonderful job.. he takes his ponytail out with ease and gives up on a topknot .. the topknot in sooo much tighter then a ponytail so we dont do the ponytail much because its out in a few mins lol and his topknot can last days if I didnt need to brush him. Im so excited for you btw!!!

No topknot :( Have you tried using paper to wrap the topknot before wrapping the lastic band. It prevents the hair from pulling and breaking. It also keeps the hair back of the head. It does look a little silly without a bow but it works. Hope you can see in the pic below.

Fine. You guys guilted me into keeping her topknot.

I guess I just have a bad habit of thinking to far into the future. I'm just worried when I'm uber pregnant it will be hard, or when baby is born and I'm up all night and day I won't have time.. BUT I will make time and teach Josh how to do it (hopefully ) so we can keep her topknot

And just to reassure you guys I just put in an order with showoff for more bands
