She is such a bad girl!
She came to work with me yesterday (and was very well behaved) But on the way home, I had to stop for gas. She jumped into my lap when the car was off and barked at the gas attendant (All gas stations in NJ are manned. it's illegal to have self serve here) and excited tinkled on my leg.
Stuff happens, so I didn't really care. I knew she had to go potty real bad (she holds it at work. even though there's a paper, she just won't use it) and when i got home, i looked at the seat, and she had peed on it! So now my car smells like urine (even though i scrubbed the hell out of the seat)
I knew she had to go bad so I didn't get that upset with her.
Then a few hours later, I'm laying on the floor (Still no stupid couch---THURSDAY though >D) watching TV and i took off my sweater because I got hot, and Ava jumps out of her bed, and makes a bee line for my sweater, and just...PEES on it.
right in front of Bradley and me! Not even a shameful glance or an attempt to hide what she was doing! (the sweater was litterally 2 feet away from me) And our Apt is small. and she knows where the paper is, and yeah.
I almost threw her out the window! I wanted to kill her! (okay not really, but i'm sure you all know what I mean!)
I've no idea why mommy's sweater on the floor means she can pee on it, and it wasn't an accident. She got up, walked over, and peed.
little demon =/

I know exactly what you mean. Tessa has done the exact same thing to me a few times with a sweater and right on my bed. There is a pad right by my bed for the girls to use if they need to go throughout the night. Well on Sunday, Tessa went right past it, up the stairs to the bed and went potty right there while I was right beside her.

LOL! Emma has never peed in the car (or on my clothing!) but I know what you mean about them knowing where the pad/potty is and peeing right there where they are anyway. Last month, I watched Emma walk over to her potty (which she uses multiple times daily), walk away, and then pee right in the middle of the floor (carpeted) not 2 feet away. I was soooo mad at her!

Awww sorry!! I know what you mean! Lucas has never done that and hope he doesn't!! But he goes pee on his pad or paper and sometimes he is being lazy and pee just in the corner! Oh no! I don't like that! LOL. When leave home I always put a new pad, sometimes when I come back the pad it's dirty and I know he has peed outside of the pad because he doesn't like doing it again when it's dirty! Ha spoiled!:o

She might have a UTI!!
If it continues that she keeps peeing randomly I would get her to the vet.

yeah. if she continues I will. So far she hasn't.
Though Chester was peeing all over my old roomie's house and she took him to the vet (this dog would turn yellow before he peed in the house) and he had ecol i. =O Its crazy, she had to get a locking garbage can, and he STILL breaks into it. (his one vice is food. Besides that, he's the sweetest dog to ever exist)

Well, if you keep having an issue with Ava peeing on things she should not, then she might have the problem Jess said. I do know that sometimes our sweat (woman don't sweat, they glow:lol2::lol2:) and the odor attracts them and they instinctively pee on the sweaty item beccause of the sweaty smell.
Hope it was just a random, out of the ordinary occurance ........ it's no fun when they start these little "surprises" out of the blue! Hoping she is okay.

my hubby is about to murder our Corazone. She knows where and how to pee on her puppy pad but sometimes she just jumps on the sofa and pees there. We have it covered with plastic tablecloths to keep it from ruining the sofa but its still so agrivating. I keep thinking its related to her beeing so sick but I dont know. I have to take her the vet tomorrow and maybe she will have an Idea

yeah...we noticed she peed on the bed last night, so vet visit today at 530.
if she's not sick, then she's a dead dog!
And i'm worried because our new couch is coming today and i will kill her if she pees on that!

I hope the vet visit goes well and they get to the bottom of this problem with Ava. I would certainly leash her or confine her when the new couch comes until you get this issue resolved.

I sure hope that little Ava isn't sick (although it sounds like she might be better off if she is...otherwise she's in BIG trouble! LOL). In the meantime, I'd definitely keep her on a lead so that she can't pee on anything that isn't easily cleaned!

the vet called, and ava has no infection, but she has some crystals in her urine which might show that she may get bladder stones, so watch for the signs, but its probably nothing
now i'm worried haha! I'm going to analyze everything she does from now on =O

she's been better, and we've been locking her in the bedroom (without the stairs) when we aren't home (though, she did pull out EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF CLOTHING from our hamper yesterday), and she isn't allowed on the couch unless someone is sitting with her.

There ya go! I knew you would figure out some way to handle this "temporary" situation.............ok, so she pulled out all the clothes from the hamper; maybe she was sorting them for you so you could wash them???:D :D :D:D...........then again, maybe not! She is such a character and I bet she brings you tons of smiles!!!! :) I smile every time I read one of your posts about her!:hearter:

I knew someone whos fluff had crystals in their urine and the vet put the fluff on a prescription diet dog food. The fluff baby had pain when she urininated. I dont know if your babys in pain, but it might be the reason why she urinates in odd places, she may be holding it till its to late?? I just thought Id throw that out there its always nice to know other ppls experiances. Im sure everything will work it way out. Jasper was potty trained and then a year later he had a few accidents, almost like he forgot, it was corrected in a few days and hes been a perfect baby since. Is your place new? If so maybe theres a scent of another dog??
