Anybody ever hear of this product?? I read about it on our sister site Yorkietalk and every body raved about it. Since I have a Yorkie too, thought I would give it a try and will probably use it on Kallie to see what results I get with it on her too! But if there is anybody out there that has used this product, let me know what you think????

Wow Carol you got the gallon size?! Those must've been some good reviews LOL! I wonder if it will work as well on a Maltese? I'm very interested to learn how it does on Kallie's coat. I'm also wondering if the citronella and cedar scents will be too overpowering. Please let us know how it works out for you!

One person said they used it on their maltese as well and it did wonders for the coat too. And the smell?? The gave the smell a great review too! I just got sucked in! and bought the gallon as it was a better deal and it DID GET GREAT REVIEWS on YT. Chattiesmom was one that said I would not be disappointed, lol...........I have her number so she'll hear about it if it isn't. ROFL:D

Let us know how it works out for you! We use Coat Handler on Miko and Emma and their products are wonderful. We also use Bo Derek's Bless the Beasts, and those are pretty good as well. Next time we buy shampoo and conditioner I want to try the MinkSheen.

Well on YT many have called the manufacter or emailed the minksheen site and asked for a sample bottle and they send them a 2 oz bottle FREE.............did you here that?? FREE.............but I had already bought the gallon. :( Hey if nothing else, if it doesn't pan out to be all that it is being "declared" to be, there is always the dog pound or ASPCA!!!:) You know there is a saying: "A Fool is easily parted with his money." or something like that!!! Hope I don't turn out to be that fool!

I use both those products as well and Petsilk.........but all the talk on YT just made me do it. I will certainly give an honest opinion on it!!! Can't wait to get it and try it!!!! But before you buy, let me try it first!!! ROFL:D

Why don't you start another thread with the information you used to get your free sample for some of the others to get their free sample???? I can see it now, a thread entitled: FREE SAMPLE OF MINKSHEEN

I think it is great that they are willing to give samples out!!! I was told on YT not to use a creme rinse or conditioner with it and to SHAKE the bottle really well!!!

The only thing I'm worried about is the smell--I think it's very strong and smells like bugspray. The little sheet that came with it said that it works really well to repel fleas and ticks, and I knew it had the cedar, citronella, ect in it, but it's just strong. I think it's great that it helps with the bugs, so I just hope the smell fades after the bath. Has yours come in yet Carol?

NO, I haven't received my "gallon" yet!!! Did the sample you received say anything about diluting it?? I know the Coat Handler and the Petsilk that I order comes with instructions to be diluted with water. Maybe that would tone down the strong smell. Also on YT, everyone said to shake the bottle really well. My only thought to curb the smell (although the smell also got a positive review on YT) is to add some very diluted creme rinse after using the minksheen just for smell. I use the Petsilk liquid silk on the kids in between baths for smell or a light coat of the cowboy magic for smell. I am hoping that the minksheen is all that I have been lead to believe it is!:( But once I get mine, I will certainly give you "my" opinion on it! Positive or negative!!!............still waiting. I think everybody ordering their 2 oz. sample was very wise as the more I read on YT about it, the more reviews are coming in as to it not working on certain coats!

I have never ever seen my hubby go so bonkers over a "dog." He has never let any of our other dogs lick him in the face like he does this one ........... she bathes him in kisses and he has no objections.....I always keep a towel handy!!! AND he holds her all the time and she loves it. He picks her up and she lays her head down on his shoulder. "True Love"

Reporting only good news about the Minksheen. Toby looks great! His hair has a nice fresh clean smell to it. I didn't find it to be strong at all once it was rinsed out and it was very very easy to rinse out. Hair felt squeaky clean and was so tempted to use conditioner but didn't. It is nice and shiney, silky and soft to the touch. There were no mats after the bath session. It worked great for Toby!!!

Now on to Kallie, the real test for this stuff!!! I'll update you when I'm finished with her!!!

Yes, Toby has very silky hair and very soft after using the minksheen. Actually I am finding it hard to keep his topknot in because it is so soft and silky............and I do a doulbe banded topkknot!:D
