It's really weird to come on to new posts and find only 1 or 2. Where do they all go? Can't they be left on longer so we can catch the ones we missed.

I think they leave them here for a period time and if you don't come here for that period time they just show the newest posts.. But you can go forum by forum and see what you missed:tongue::)

I don't know why you are missing out on some of the new posts......:confused:

Everytime you log on, new posts should present all the posts that have been made since your last visit. One thing you can do other than go forum by forum like Cinthya suggested is to go to "Quick Links" (upper right corner) and click on Today's Post......that should pull up all the posts for the last 24 hours. Even if you come on just to look around, once you log in, the posts are no longer considered "new posts" and will not show up next time you sign in. Have I totally confused you now! :p

Of course they are left only for a period of time or they would not be new anymore :lol2:

That's what I do, I go forum to forum. I don't use the new post thing.

The new posts depends on the person. It only shows new posts that are new to you as an individual. So say I didn't log on for a week it would show every thread that has a new post in it that I havn't seen yet. But once you log out it starts the new posts all over again

What happened to old fashioned surfing the web over to MT without having to have an app for that?

Good grief ladies...

LOL, Carol!
Ok I am going to attempt something here, cause I think I know what she is asking  I think anyway
When you say only 1 or 2 new posts, I think it is because there is only 1 or 2 NEW posts  MT is not that busy this is why i love it though, so maybe you think there is more than 1 or more posts but there really isn't?
Did that make sense  and does anyone know what i mean

we're basically talking about keeping up with everyone's posts on a daily basis and making sure to respond to all/most of them. When you sign on to MT, the first thing I go to is the New Posts.. sometimes I can't respond to all of them and have to sign out.

But once you sign in the second time and you don't look at ALL the new posts, some of those new posts disappears.. So Carol's advice to just go on Quick Link and go on Today's Post is a good idea for those who sign in daily cause then it lists every post that day. I hope that helped clear things up. :D

And.. I'm all for going on the web and signing on to MT, it'll just help if MT had an app for my phone.. Lol So i can reply on my breaks, or when I'm in line at the grocery store, or when i'm too lazy to get my laptop. :D ORRR... if I had an emergency question regarding my fluff and can't get to a laptop.. Haha.. Maybe in the future we can have that option, but I have no problem with the way everything is already.. This place helps me no matter what. Just wishful thinking.

Some threads are closed (and I'm not refering to the one from admin). Just wanted to know how that happens. Is there a post limit? It's too old? or because the person who started the thread decides when to close it? :scratchhd: Calling all moderators! :D

Posts usually get closed when people posting get out of hand and start arguing or at the request of the person who started the thread . They Never ever get closed cause they are old. :D
