Well, I have had several members that I sent my Liver Lickin' Good Treats to ask me for the receipe for them because their fluffs "LOVE LOVE LOVE" them! Mine love them too so I thought I would post how to make them.
There are just two ingredients: Chicken Livers and Brown Rice Flour
First you really do need something that will absolutely pulvarize the raw chicken liver into a smooth, lumpless consistency. To thicken it up, I simply leave my food processor on and add the brown rice flour until the two ingredients are thick enough to put into my cake decorator. Then I choose a tip to the decorator and then dispense a little shape onto a cookie sheet (I usually get about 200 per cookie sheet depending on the size of treat I make. Then I simply bake them at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes or until I'm not able to mush them when I push on them. I cool them and store them and the fluffs adore me for the rest of the day because I have to let them test each batch. :D :D :D
So that's all there is to it.........as my hubby would say, having the right equipment to get the job down is half the battle and I soooooo agree with him. I use a cuisnart food processor and a Wilton Cake Decorator.

No, didn't think about it but that might be a good idea! Thanks for the suggestion. Guess I'll have to get the hubby to video while "I" do the work! It's not all that much work though! :D

Well I've not tried using a blender but since the livers are pretty soft and slimey........a blender might do the trick. You just have to make sure the consistency is right for putting in the cake deocorator so the shapes will be firm enough to hold up when dispensed on the cookie sheet.

Is there a "gagging" smiley?? Yuck! I love Emma and she is spoiled rotten but there's no way I could mess with internal organs, not even for her! LOL

I don't see why you couldn't.........I have thought of using it too and maybe I will give it a try ...... but I will use calf's liver as I think it would be easier to put through my food processor for a "smooth" batter.
I have been looking for kidney too but can't seem to find any BUT PLEASE don't anyone send me any........I'll just keep looking!:lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2:

Hey, that would be a great idea. I might be able to get it then. I try not to spend too much time in the kitchen unless it's making my homemade Lasagna. No one makes that like mama does! I'd like to know how many livers to buy and how much brown rice flour? I tend to over-do:lol2:

Oh you poor boys!! I cannot have you "liver lickin' good treat" deprived!! I will just have to send you some so keep an eye out for the mailman and sniff every package that comes through the door.......I am sure you will be able to tell which one the treats are in.
Then I will have a nice long talk with your "mother" and let her know how important these treats are to you. Hugs to you my little boys!!!
Mums the word with boys' night out! :)

Well, I have been buying the chicken livers at Publix (prepackaged) and so they weigh in differently........I just use what they package, add enough brown rice flour to thicken it enough to hold a shape when I dispense them onto the cookie sheets. But I will make a video as soon as it is time to make another batch of treats! :)

Okay I have a correction to make.........23863
It is the Wilton DESSERT Decorator Pro that I have been using to make the treats with. DUH
And just to clarify, I bake the treats at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes depending on the size I make them........and you oven may be slightly different than mine.
