Hi :-). Currently I'm brushing Maddie with a Madan pin brush, and find that its not working out. I heard many good things about cc brushes, and I am not sure which brush to buy for Maddie. She has a cotton coat, and I was looking for a good brush to workout the mats. Thanks :)

I don't have any of the CC brushes. I only have one by #1 All Systems and I really want to get a Madan brush because I have heard how great they are. There are quite a few different kinds though. Which one do you have? Sorry to hear that it's not working out for you!

I have the black pin brush. the problem is that some of the pins began to loosen and are falling inside the pad making some of the pins look shorter. The other problem is that it doesn't get all the knots. I have another Madan brush for my yorkie and it works great on him, but his coat is silky, and is way easier to maintain.

I have the pink madam and works great on my cottony girl. The problem is she goes running and five minutes later I see matts from her fighting with the other two.
Never tried CC please let us know how it works out if you do decide on it. I have heard good things also.

When Mitzy was in full coat I used the Brass Fusion CC brush and LOVED it!!

I loved the Madan but once I got the CC brush I never used it again. The madan is a great brush but the CC is just.. amazing. I also use their buttercomb (the rattail one) for putting up topknots (well she doesnt have one anymore) and picking out those tough mats

She is a puppy cut now but I do plan on growing her out again in the future when life slows down a bit and I'll continue to use the CC brush and combs

I don't have a cc or madan. I have the 1 all system and i hate it. Most of the pins are loose. I really need a new brush and comb. The comb that i have it gives her statics.

I think I have one of each of all the CC brushes now!:o:o:o:o:o

Jess will tell you, if you ask, I am a brush hoarder!!!

I have several of the madan brushes as well but always seem to gravitate back to the cc brushes. I do like the brass fusion brushes but also bought the others as well. I have the boar brushes which is very nice for a top coat brush that is very relaxing to the fluffs but does nothing for getting matts out, but I also use it around the face as it is so gentle and the fluffs don't mind it at all.

I also bought the wooden brushes and they work nicely too but care has to be used with them or the hair could be damaged.

Soooooooo, if you are going to buy a CC brush, I would suggest the one that Jess mentioned ( I have two) as they are not huge and easier to handle. JMHO

Well I got my brush from Carol but I ordered the combs straight from the CC website. If you just bought your Madan brush wait to see if you like it or not first!! You don't want to spend all your money on brushes. The Madan is a good brush and I used it religously until I was introduced to the CC :wink5: And I keep it in her upstairs kit LOL yes she has a downstairs and upstairs kit because I'm to lazy to carry the same grooming basket up and down the stairs everyday

thanks Jess. I went searching for it, just in case i may want it.. plus i wanted to see how much they were first before I went and purchased them.... Wow.. they're very pricey! I'll stick with the madan for now.. I'm so excited to get it! After reading the slicker brush thread and how it's bad for them and it hurts them.. I HAD to buy something else. The slicker brush i use (groomer recommended) but I hold on to Snow's fur near his skin so it doesn't hurt him when i brush it.. kinda like how i brush my own hair, i have to hold it from near the scalp.. it just takes forever to brush him that way plus everytime i bring the brush out Snow RUNS AWAY from me! Lol

They are expensive but when your ready SO worth it!! You can start a "Snow's Brush/Comb fund" jar now that you got his dog park paid for ;) The Madan brush is great but I hated the rattail comb!! It just looked dangerous and I don't think I used it once on Mitzy. The buttercomb was $30 (I think) and when I first ordered it I was like "what was I thinking" but its honestly my favorite thing in her grooming kit. Perfect for doing topknots and getting out mats ;)

I'm confused!! I don't know which one to order!! Which size did you order? The regular, small or oblong? I'm guessing the regular one since it says it's best for Maltese?

Before you order make sure you get right brush from size of your hand, I bought two and one is WAY to big and very awkward for me to use as I have tiny hands I drop it so never use it.

i just got the regular one pin brush, and the 6in steel comb since i think 6in is small enough plus snow's coat is pretty short.. ;D

I was wondering why I hadn't bought the CC brush, thanks for the reminder (super expensive). I am very happy with the madan brush and love the pink color. I still have my sliker brush but I only use that one for her matts.

Please let us know how the CC brushes work out for you.

Sorry just saw this! The Oval brush was way to large for my hand was awkward and made me drop it a lot , the Oblong works best for me, I have small hands, I think I used it once and put it away give me a yell if you need one

I have two of the Madan brushes and love them.

For the best results you have to brush every few days..or more often.. once those matts get ahold it's a pain.. literally!!!

I think all the brushes are good.. we just have to use them as needed. :)

I think I will purchase a CC brush for Daisy's birthday this upcoming May as Carol & Jess rave so much about it, I thought why not spoil 'em & give them the very best? I know they don't run cheap but it sounds like a good investment that works wonders. I am in the process of building up a nice grooming kit for them with the works! & Boy do these kids have it so good

Well I really like the CC brushes and use them 99% of the time. I have had them forever too.......so they do last a long time. I bought the bigger oval ones for final brush out after I detail them. A small pocket size for around delicate areas and the the oblong because it fits so nicely in the hand for area working on their coats. I would never ever spend $45-55 on a brush for me but the fluffs are so deserving of nice grooming tools!!! :) AND it does make "my" grooming experience better!

I just received my order this past friday and I am amazed with these brushes. I really like the wood pin brush and the gold series brush. The brushes look very sturdy, and I like how smooth they feel when I pass them through Maddie's hair. They are a bit expensive but definitely worth it.
