I can't figure out why the posts get taken off so often leaving either one or none left. I do some recruiting for MT site and if someone new comes on and sees there is nothing on there what are they suppose to think? Some of them may not be able to figure out to go check forums. I have 5 people that I have told about our site that are really interested but I think they probably expect something to be posted. JMO:confused:

I don't know if the settings have been changed but I had a similar problem so now I just click on the "quick links" section and then "TODAY'S POSTS"........I'm not really sure what vistors "can" and "cannot" see!!! I don't think they can hit new posts and see the most current posts because they are not a registered guest yet. Hopefully those people you have invited will check out the site and see some of the great fluffs/people we have and the great information. :) :)

I would have love it if it would stay all the post for a day.

Ex. Today posts should stay all day, until 12pm. :wink5::lol2:

ROFLOL...........you "quack" me up!!!!

Ok, I think the way the system works is this: Once you log on, all the new posts show up from your last visit to your present visit. Soooooooo, if you don't check out the new posts at that time and leave the site, when you come back, it will only present the posts that have been made from your previous visit!! SOOOOOOOOOOOO if you log on at 8AM and don't check out all the new posts and then log out at 8:30AM, when you come back at say around 11AM........it will only provide you with the posts made between 8:30AM and 11AM.......does that make sense????:confused::confused:

It is the way it works! You are sooo smart Carol to be able to explain it so clearly!

It is always the new post since the last time you came on MT! I always do the Quick link one! Works really well:
The post in BOLD in the first part are the post I haven't opened yet!
Then the posts in the second section are today's post that I read earlier!

Yes, it is and it does make sense.:lol2: I also use the quick link, because sometimes i check the threads, but i don't post. Once i do decide to post, I just go to quick links.

I have a question about a post, but didn't feel the need to start a new thread on it since there's already a topic for it here. My question is, how do I request my own post removal? Are the mods able to do this for me or do I need to go through Admin. Thanks.

The system is set up that you can "edit" or "delete" your own thread but there is a time frame involved after you initially submit the post........so if you need to change something, you can do it then. Otherwise you will have to contact a moderator to edit or delete the post. Admin can also do it:tongue::tongue::tongue:

Okay thanks. I will "contact a moderator" as you say(only because Admin takes a good 3-5 days to respond, & sometimes earlier).

so umm.. Carol can you go check your PM? I think there's a message waiting for you right now :lol2:
