View Full Version : Best Way to Remove a Sticky Substance from Paw Pads
Babe has managed to get an unknown sticky substance on his paw pads. What is the best way to remove it?
He will not let me touch this particular foot.
The flooring he is on is washed several times a day. I have no clue what he got into or how he did it.
Thanks-
Linda

It might be tree sap if he was outside--try some olive oil.

Olive oil is a great idea...
Were you able to get the substance off of Babe's paw?
Babe's left paw had the paw pads stuck together. I check them everyday if possible. He would not let me touch his left foot.
The other night after he was asleep I examined his paw. Wasn't sure if it was injured or?
I bathed him yesterday, and thankfully soaking his feet he now has squeaky clean paws. The small piece of gum floated away--it was tiny--1/16". Now he will let me touch his feet.
I discovered my Father was chewing red gum, and he probably got the gum from exploring in the trash. (I take the trash out a few times a day).
Before I leave each night I empty all trash baskets, and place them up high; and take out the main trash and put a new bag in the main can. Father has been scolded.
He's fine. :D
Thanks--
Linda
