Summer Time Card Exchange 2011

Hi everyone! :tongue: There has been some discussion lately regarding a Summer Time Card Exchange where we send out greeting cards to each other in the summer months of June or July. It can be general greetings cards, handmade, postcards (to represent your State/vacation spot), Christmas in July themed, you name it! The choice is yours according to availability, time, & cost. Now all we need is a quick head count on those who are interested in participating & also a consensus on which month works best to get this up and going. I sure hope we get a good number, & as Jessica (JiJi's Mom) had mentioned, I myself too look forward to receiving something rather sweet in my posts other than them bills & good old reliable junk mail this upcoming summer :laugh: Just know that we can really have fun with this & grow even closer as a MT family. :hearter: Thanks everyone for casting in your vote!

I would like to do it in June and maybe call it MT Family Summer Card Exchange keeping it as a special part of MT and loving the idea of the types of cards as well. It would be interesting to see what we would receive as I know we are all very creative.

This means we have enough counts to get this rolling for the summer! It may not seem much, but trust me when you’re making out 10 specialty cards for 10 different persons, ten is looking mighty good than 50 or 100 to the tenth power :laugh: Plus I want this to be thoughtful & creative, not some card mass production event. I would like to applaud Zuly for taking the intiative in befriending everyone. :cheer: We still have about 2 1/2 months to get well acquainted. So if those members are not on your list please do so by the 1st of June as I make my rounds collecting your info. If you decide to drop out, let us know here or PM me, please don't do it last minute. Also any new ideas for the different types of cards to be exchanged is welcome here as well. I have a greeting card program that I bought a few years ago and it allows for auto print (pre-designed cards) or for designing your own. There may even be a site on the internet you can download some cards. I am going to try to individualize each card. :) I said TRY!!!!!:tongue::tongue:

We will be putting the final touches on our cards at the bookstore over coffee today. I still have plans to send it on time because Daisy is being pushy. The extension works for us too just in case Tessa decides to eat the cards.
