I just noticed Mia is missing three of her bottom teeth!:( Is this normal? I don't see any new ones. Is this normal? She is 4 mo. 3weeks. Do I start giving her Tums to make the (hopefully) new ones hard? Sorry for the panic but for some reason I don't feel like the tooth fairy.

I think she is losing her baby teeth. LB lost hers around that age.

It's good she's losing them naturally. I found 2 of LB's teeth on the floor, I have saved them. Then she had a double row of teeth, so I had to take her to the vet to have them removed under anesthesia.

Hi Maggie:)
It's most definitely normal, but why are you going to give Tums:confused: ? She will be fine and her new teeth will be in soon:p

Don't be alarmed w/ baby tooth loss--it must occur.

I found w/ Babe that sometimes where the tooth came out there was blood, but he got over it very quickly.

The indicator of a tooth coming out for me was he started to repeatedly to act like he was biting something. Then the tooth came out, so I caught it quickly. Gave him some water, and rubbed his gums for a few minutes. He was then okay, and I'm sure happier.

Yep thats normal. Molly was losing her teeth when we got her at 4 1/2 months old. The new ones started growing in pretty quickly She is now 7 months and her fang teeth were the last to go and that was just a few weeks ago and she has her adult teeth now. Now she seems to be in a chewing phase where anything that is in her path she puts in her mouth. Socks and shoe laces seem to be a favorite :)

Holly has lost all her baby teeth except for the big ones. I forgot to ask the vet when will those come out so I can concentrate on the tear staining.
My vet forgot to check the tear ducks when she was spayed last week..darn!
I think Mia's teeth coming out is very normal, be glad they don't have to be pulled.

Sounds about right to me! I only went through the losing teeth experience with Toby and he lost them one right after the other and the new pearly whites came in quickly after that! Kallie was two when we adopted her so I have none of her baby teeth!:( :(

Do you have anyone that can help hold her??? And what are you using to brush her teeth???? She will just have to learn that it is part of the routine of being a well cared for furbutt, just like the brushing!!! But one thing I have found that has really helped my babies' teeth, is the Petzlife gel that I use on them to prevent plague build up. I really have seen a difference in their teeth .........without brushing them!!!! But brushing would be better as it keeps the gums healthy too! I will have to work on that!!! MY BAD!!!
