I have a question about trimming Sammy. I am going to leave his coat long, and boy does it grow fast. He has that bib looking thing under his chin and I don't like the way it looks. He looks like a little old man:( What do you think if I just trim some of that up so you see more face. When I pull it back he looks so much more like a puppy again. I mean he's only 5 1/2 months old. I want to be able to keep his topknot, even though he does his best to get it out. They seem to come in handy when he and Belle use each others to pull them across the room:( Just wanted to see what you thought.

I personally would not cut any of his hair if you are trying to grow him out.......but then again, he probably still has some puppy hair. But my theory is to let it grow and see how it will eventually blend in with the lower hair because you know it will !!! Just my two cents. For the topknot, I would use a band but not make it too tight........even if it is loose, it will help him get use to the idea. The reason I say not too tight is because all three of my girls came to me with "missing" hair on the heads from someone putting in a "tight" topknot that eventually damaged the area. :( :( But with their topknots so long, you really can't see them. :p

OMG I have this same issue with Mitzy right now!! I HATE that little patch of hair there!! I'm letting it grow though because they always go through an awkward stage and eventually it evens out :wink5:

The way I see it is if your going to have him in full coat your going to eventually let that patch of hair grow anyways and if you cut it now its going to look even weirder later on when the rest of his hair is long. Put the scissors down Sue!! :D

Okay, no scissors! Maybe I'll put that chim hair in a pony tail too:lol2: I never put Sammy's top knot in tight cause it makes his eyes go up and last time I did I was laughing so hard, I peed my pants:o Same I guess for Belle I guess as I'm trying to grow her out to see what it looks like.

:lol2::lol2: I'm on the couch and Sammy is sitting behind me. He growls at me when ever I turn away from him then he does this sneezing thing. It's so funny, Belle looks at him then me like "what's his problem?":lol2:

NO no Lori, Belle can come and live with you just don't tell anyone else, especially Jess. You never know what she'll do with those raging pregnancy hormones:eek: You know you did say I could have Kodie, I'm sure that was what you promised:D Kodie and Sammy would have such fun together and I would buy him long t-shirts to cover his "baboon butt" till it grows out:o
