I need help in how to trim the hair around Belle's and Sammy's feet. Belle is terrified of the trimmer from when the groomer cut her with one, If I cut with scissors it leaves marks:( Carol mentioned using curved scissors. I have searched everywhere for curved ones and can't find them. Anyone know where to get them?

For the very bottom of the paw, I use some small scissors that have a blunt end on them, sort of like the kind you use for a skinbaby. For shaping the hair around the foot, I do use the curved scissors that I purchased at a flea market several months ago. I haven't been to the flea market for a while but next time I go, I'll check to see if they have any and the cost (because I have no idea how much I paid for them).

Well I use clippers and scissors so my way may not work for you but I'll tell you anyways :D

I like Mitzy's FEET shaved, like poodle feet. This makes it easier for me to clip her nails and I don't feel bad that she is slipping around on her feet hair  I use the clippers (little hand held ones) to shave the pads of her feet and the tops. You can't see that her feet are shaved because her leg hair hangs over her feet

After her feet, I lift the hair up and trim in a downward angle with scissors starting about 1/3 the way down her leg. I don't touch the hair above that point. It looks like a cone of hair around her foot ;) Then I let it fall down over her foot.

I posted the pictures to help explain. The first one is just to show that you can't tell her feet are shaved with the hair hanging down and the second one is the hair pulled back showing her shaved footsies :D

Sue..... I tried trimming Snow's feet with tiny little scissors i use for my eyebrows, it's curved too. But i don't like it cause one time I almost got one of her pads and he squealed! First time i've ever heard him squeal!!! He just got shocked, i think i poked him slightly with the tip.. there was no cut or anything... But after that i never wanted to again. Plus his feet looked SO UGLY after i was done.. i was embarrassed to even show Snow to anyone. When I went to the pet expo and met up with Jennifer (2morkies), i even told her, "omg don't look at his feet they're so ugly i didn't know how to trim his hair!" hahaha

Jess.... i read what you wrote... i just don't know what u mean? LOL can u take a video and show? Lol i'm sorry, i feel really dumb right now. if not they prolly have something on youtube. But Mitzy's feet are nicely trimmed! That's how i want Snow's to look like.. where you can't see his toes, but not so much that he slips on hardwood floor. I even have to move some furniture around just so Snow can stop running into them when he slips while running. Lol

Oh no!! I tried to explain.. I just trimmed her feet this past week so I'll let them grow out a little to get a decent video for you. Keep on me about it though or I might forget  Its really simple though and so much easier for her I think too

I am awful about trimming Lucas feet:(:(!!! He doesn't let me touch them that much so it makes it harder!! But those scissors are a great idea!:)
