I knew something was wrong!
Dueci kept throwing up and was shaking a lot.
I told my vet but she was saying how it might be nothing since my food is not on the recall

I personally spoke on the phone with a rep from Natural Balance. They told me that it has NOT been recalled.........they are doing it as a precaution since they had a few calls about dogs having the runs and vomiting. They are thinking that it could possibly be that people have changed to this product since so many other brands of dog food HAVE been recalled and rather than do a gradual change, people have gone cold turkey with the Natural Balance Venison/Br. rice and so it has caused the runs.........which I know from first hand experience any changes in diet should be gradual or the runs will be a result. She was confident that it was NOT contaminated food!!!! And so I don't think it is a problem but she said to just keep looking at the site for updates throughout the day!!! My two have been on the venison for over 1 1/2 years and the duck/potato and neither of mine are sick in anyway shape or form.............no runs or vomiting. The statement on their site is a precaution only so they can do a more thorough check into the complaints. She also said the dates on my bags were not involved in the voluntary removal of the bags of venison. You can call the company and speak with them if you have any of the product and they will clarify it for you.

but i noticed they barfed up more then three times, and he's shaking :(

I don't think I'll take my chances though. Jadey has been telling me that her poor babies have been throwing up for awhile and they eat that food.
I had Miko on another food that is not on the recall list that he got extremely sick on with seizures and everything, and I was told that there was nothing wrong with it. I took him off of it, and he was fine within days.

I know sometimes just vomiting will make them shake but if you think they have gotten a bad batch of dog food, you need to call Natural Balance and the vet! If it is contaminated food, and they are ill from it..........I don't know how you would know. I wonder how long it takes for the effects of contaminated food to surface??????

then daerong threw up another couple of days later...

then donbi...
then i heard cosmo threw up too...
but its been like 3 times i thinkk total for dueci and 2 times for daeroni and 2 times for donbi
of course this is what I saw...
i dont know when im out to work i wouldnt know how many times they throw up :(

i have a problem:(
I buy the big bags
and put them in plastic bin *then put the rest in bags and put it in my freezer
so i dont have the date or the number.
i feel terrible :(
im praying its not because of the food!

Jadey, have you given them any "new" treats that you picked up for them that could be the cause rather than the vension???? Anything at all??? Even people food of any sort???? Think girl, think!!!!!!

I give Emma Merrick's Grammy's Pot Pie, but I've been cooking for them lately with all this stuff going on. You know they're happy about getting home cooked meals ;) LOL

Some treats have been recalled, but Jadey, I don't think you give them any of those...So it's probably not that that's making them sick.

Maybe since their tummies are kind of sick, you should just get some organic chicken and boil it up and make some plain white rice and give them that until their tummies get better.

but im telling you i dont really give them human food well not lately :),
they only had NB and some treats (dog treats yogurt drop, but i been giving it to them since they were puppies)

im real scared :T and maybe its nothing but my kids are vomitting from it

my boyfriend was like WOW im tempted to eat it

they pooped right after, the smell was not bad at all

and now they are enjoying their Merricks Texas toothpicks
I love how it makes their breath smell SO FRESH but it kind of (little bit) stains on their white hair :P
but it doesnt break down into little pieces which is a super plus too!

Great!! I'm happy to hear that the furbabies are doing better! I hope that they continue to do well on the Merricks. I haven't seen the texas toothpicks...Sound interesting!! Maybe Emma will like those :)

Checked the website and there are no new updates about the venison, very much to my disappointment. I've decided to finish the bag that I have which only has two more feedings worth as they have not been sick at all. But figure until they clear up the issue, I am going to just feed them the duck/potato and Solid Gold Wee Bits. It seems that there is a particular "lot number" that is being questioned. I did talk with a Natural Balance rep and she assured me that they didn't feel it was the product but the fact that they say on the website that there has been some complaints about kidney problems not just vomiting and runs............it gives me some concern. So unless they can update the site and say it does not, for sure, have any contamination, I am laying off the Natural Balance Venison/Brown Rice. JMO

:( Well I am almost finished with my Potato and Duck and Nemo is fine. I know it doesn't involve that one , but at this point who knows what will happen today:o I really hope they find out what is going on, this is getting ridiculous now:(

and my vet told me just to stay off it for awhile and see
and they are fine they dont seem tired as much more relax'd and they are not vomitting which is great! and no running stool
its solid and smells yummy :D
