Well I live in a very humid area and keep my temperature in the house at 73 degrees. In addition all my fluffs are in long coat except for one and they do just fine in that temp. The only time they pant is if they have had a rip roaring time at play. :p :p :p

I personally think that if the temp in your house 75 or below, your baby should be just fine! :)

I think it depends on you and your dog. The coat SHOULDN'T be a problem, because they say it insulates both ways. It keeps the cool and the heat in. So in the summer it should help to keep her cool and in the winter help to keep her warmer.

Your dog will probably give you signs that she is hot though. If she becomes lathargic or just seems unenergetic she may be trying to keep herself cool.

If she seems hot to you then trimming her might be a good option but if you really want to keep her coat she should be fine!! :)

I worry about the same thing! Today temp here is going to be around 97 degrees and may even go higher.. It was already 70 degrees at 7am. I just make sure Snow has plenty of water for when he gets super hot.. and I also leave a small little oscillating fan on low by his crate because I noticed whenever I'm super hot and i turn the fan on, Snow LOVES to sleep right in front of it and block my air! Lol Snow also loves sleeping on the hardwood floor versus his bed when it's hot.. I can tell because no matter how hot it is i still try and cuddle with him and only when he's super hot does he try and get away from me... he leaves my side so he can lay belly first on the cool hardwood floor!

So i think just making sure they have water available at all times and like what everyone mentioned, take notice on their behavior whether they constantly pant or not..

Hope your fluff stays cool!

My two love the fan that I have on the floor. They make fans that connect to the crates too. Also if it's really hot, I take ice packs out of the freezer and lay them down and put a blanket over them. Make sure it's a couple layers thick. Belle loves to lay on this. It's Sammy's first summer so we'll see how he does with long hair. I keep their water in the refrigerator too.

mine actually like warm weather. My room temperature is normally 75-78 because I get cold really fast. Down here it's like 104 degrees and they still play outside like nothing.

Make sure there's plenty of water available. I used to have a fan but they never got near it.
