NOOO, not me:lol2:, the fluffs. I am so enjoying the puppy breath and sweet cuddle time on the couch and then, BAMM! My nose was assaulted by the most repulsive and vulgar smell, yet:scratchhd:! At first I thought it was the DF (dear fiance) and I pushed him away and gave a look of, "How DARE you!!" The stunned look on his face told me I was wrong, LOL. So after the smell began to dissipate I apologized with a scrunched up look on my face.:lol2:

So, long story short... (My epiphany) I have used the Wellness line for a total of 6 months. (Counting my previous fluffs and the current 2.) And since the beginning I have realized that they have a gas issue with Wellness. The pups are on the "Wellness Super5Mix Puppy". Before this I was using Nature's Balance (Dior had food allergies and so they had a limited ingredients formula he would actually eat, very picky that boy was!)

I liked that Wellness is made in USA and has had minimal recalls. I changed foods because I thought Wellness would be better but I wanted to know if any others have had this issue before? Doesn't have to just be wellness...I am changing the food but, don't know exactly what to.

LOL, that was a good joke actually! You crack me up too!:lol2: I am happy to know you don't have the ummm....errr, ahh, umm...gas issue or the fluffs for that matter.

Have you ever fed them kibble and if so what difference have you noticed since switching? I would love to feed FPS, just never got around to researching it tho...I am sooooooOOOOOoooooo LaZy!

I think the only kibble that gave mine gas was Orijen. My whole apt stank. All of them were farting back to back.

LOL Mine get gas when I feed them foods with fish as the main protein..

I just switched Jake from Wellness CORE to Solid Gold and he is my gassy baby. He has digestive issues though so he is gassy pretty often  so I can't really base my assesment on him. I havn't been crazy about Wellness though, its a good food, there are just other kibbles I think I would rather feed before I feed Wellness again.

I switched Mitzy to Halo a few weeks ago and so far we both LOVE it!!

I switch my pups food about every 3 months and my personal favorite (and theirs!!) is Taste of the Wild. I also really like the Solid Gold and Orijen :)

I give Schatze Wellness Super5Mix for small breeds. I have found that she is also passing gas (very quietly). She sits beside me all the time and suddenly a rank odour appears. I never thought that it could be the food.

Guess it is time to find another food for her. I liked the Wellness because it has the small kibble.

I would give a probiotic. Animal Essentials makes one you just sprinkle on the food. I don't mean to sound gross, but are the poopies firm? If not, this food may be too rich for your baby. Wellness is a very good food but every dog is an individual. Hope this helps.;)

ROFLOL.........that has got to be one of the best dog stories!!! Toooooooo Funny but sooooooo true!!! You crack me up too!

We've not had any farting problems with the pups here. They do get probiotics and home cooked food so maybe that makes the difference. :D:D

I am still searching for a good food to switch to. I haven't quite settled on one yet. But the wellness must go! LOL! I am glad to hear I am not the only one with such an awful smell to endure... I will update the thread as soon as I find the gas-free food!
