Update on my search

Well guys im getting so fustrated. I phoned the breeder back to see if her little 1 was preggers. And what do you no she isnt. She has been very helpful to me though. We were on the phone for ages. She is really nice.
Anyways she phoned me back about a day later saying that her hubby had came across last weeks newspaper with little maltese babies advertised.
I took the number and give the girl a call, well what do you no, she only had a little boy left. I was so dishearted. I realy want a girl..A well I will keep searching.
One thing that has stuck in my mind about this second breeder is she was looking well over the price that you would pay for a girl. I asked her why he was so pricey and she told me that boys go for more than the girls.
Now to be honest with you I always thought that you would pay more for a girl.
Please guys id like your opions on this. As she took my number to advise me of future litters.

Well here in the US girls are much more than boys.You can find a great male for 1500 but a female I have never seen less than 2,800..I think they are more boys than girls born , but there are reputable breeders here where you can get a girl for less, it just takes time and a good search..You are in Ireland though, right?

In Ireland ye. To be honest with you I think that because they only had a boy left, they were just triyng to get a quick sale to get it sold.
But I definitly know when it come to most breeds the girls are always less in price.
Another thing was that i was so excited she probably thought i would just jump at the chance to buy him.
