The vet recommended me buying this $30 8 ounce bottle of prescription shampoo, but I was wondering if anyone knows of some cheaper alternatives. The money isn't the issue, I just think the 8 ounces is a little small for that money. She wants us to bathe him every week. Chip has environmental type allergies and is on a daily dose of Zyrtec for them.

Ashley I would check www.chrissysystems.com. It's Chris Christensen products and they are awesome. I would think they would have something. Otherwise another good place to find stuff like that is to go to amazon and search for it. that usually turns up several sites to buy from. If you can't find anything let us know and we can find somewhere else. That is expensive for such a small bottle. Hope you find something or let us know.

That is alot of money for a small bottle of shampoo. I just started using earthbath http://www.vitacost.com/productResults.aspx?ntk=products&ss=1&Ntt=earthbath for my pups and i love it...we all suffer from environmental allergies! When Chloe was chewing her feet and they turned red from so much chewing i used Malaseb shampoo on her and it helped so much with the itching she had food and environmental allergies. I bought the Malaseb online...so much cheaper than from the vets.

So sorry Chip is having issues. I really don't have any suggestions but to maybe check (google) online to see if there are any shampoos w/ similar ingredients that are a bit more reasonable.
Oh and Debbie, thanks for the Tip on a "new" product for me to try. LOL
