Crates

So with the new move, and installing brand new hardwood floors, I am going to train Ava to go outside, and she will no longer be free in the house (She's rather bad..... she flings her paper around and makes a huge mess...hooray separation anxiety) and since she can climb out of x-pens I am going to get a crate for her.

I don't however, want to get one too big so she starts going in it. Anyone have a crate for their malts and what size is it? (she's 6 lbs)

I bought two crates but never use them. I do keep them though just in case of emergencies when I may have to take them with us........like a hurricane!!! You just never know and I will always take my fluffs with me. I have a large one that will fit three and then a medium one that will hold two. At six pounds, I wouldn't think you would need a large crate for Ava but maybe a medium one so she has an area to sleep and an area to do her business if she has to.

thanks. we got one that she can move around in, but not big enough where she has a corner to potty in. We are trying to re-train her to go outside.

I have one that can snuggly fit my 15lbs, 6lbs and 4lbs. They now love their crate and go in it to sleep or just their comfort zone.
