Sammy has developed an attitude

Sammy started doing the chicken scratching thing a few months ago and did it after he went potty and it was pretty cute. Then he decided since his sister didn't scratch he would scratch for her so I knew to give potty treats.
Now he has decided to use it to get his way when he wants a toy that Belle has or if he wants to lay in the bed that she's in:mad: I find it hard to believe but she gives in to him and it makes me so mad. Well tonight he decided he wanted some of whatever Denny was eating and he had quite the little show going on with the scratching, then he added a snort and just for good measure he aslo added a hop:confused: We tell him no and I try to distract him but I'm not making alot of progress in getting this stopped. Any one with ideas what to do to get this to stop. I think he has the mistaken thought that he is the alpha here but I have big news for him.:Really? that would work? Ummm, is that against the law?:o

I have to admit it's hard to be firm with him cause it is funny. His short little legs are just scratching away and if a toy or anything else gets in the way it goes flying.:lol2: If he does listen when I tell him to stop he always has to get just one more scratch or one more hop before he listens. Why do they have to be so cute when we are trying to get them to behave. It's like Belle when I scold her she rolls over and covers her eyes with her paws.:lol2::lol2:
Her daddy can't scold her when she does that, she's got him wrapped around her little paw!

Awww, come on Sue........it's just part of Sammy expressing himself. Pretty cute of him and very clever too!! He is just so full of personality and you are just seeing another side of that personality!!!! He'll probably outgrow it with time. Just don't make a big fuss over it and try hard not to laugh at him when he does it.

Kallie and Toby both do the chicken scratch as I call it after they potty. But that is the only time Kallie does it. Now Toby will do it if I give him too much loving. Crazy little boy!!

So enjoy the this cute little side of Sammy........and yes, a video would be nice! :p :p
