I can't say the same since my mom never roasted any poultry before. Guess I'll be the one slaving over the stove while she and the rest of the family watch and wait to eat that bad boy :lol2:

I miss my mama! Now I'm the one everyone looks to for Thanksgiving dinner. I do OK with all the traditional dishes but I'm still struggling to make gravy as good as my mom did.

OMG We forgot the gravy!!! Eating a dry turkey is not on my agenda. Oh Geez I don't even want to imagine how pack tomorrow the grocery store is going to be and to only buy a pack of that gravy mix.

I'm not roasting, I'm frying mine :D
I haven't cook in ages and it has been atleast 3 years since I've slaved in the kitchen for turkey day. But I will starve the people so they can eat my turkey :lol2:
NAT you have to come to my Turkey Lunch that's a must

I am roasting/cooking the turkey this year.
I made pumpkin pie and chocolate creme pie tonight. Cooked eggs for preparing deviled eggs tomorrow. Then tomorrow I am cooking the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, scalloped corn, finish off the deviled eggs, rolls, open up the can of cranberry sauce... LOL...
My sister was to make the sweet potatoes. She stopped over tonight... and guess what?? She even surprised me with this one. Drum roll..... ready?? Brought me two cans of sweet potatoes!!! Wow.
My niece has the green bean casseole duty. Lets hope she doesn't show up with a few cans of green beans and expect me to finish those off...

We don't have to do it anymore!! My son is roasting the turkey. It's his 3rd year of taking over the duties and we love it.
