I know I'm new, so I'm humbly submitting a suggestion that is quite popular on a forum I frequent. We have a forum within the message board dedicated to journaling. ie: life journals, home journals, baby journals, fitness journal, vacation journals, wedding journals, trying to concieve journals, etc. It's like a daily diary of what you're up to.
For example I have a fitness journal where I post about my daily workouts, progression, etc. I also have a life journal where I post about what's going on in our lives.

I think dog/pup journaling is a good way to keep track of your experience as a pet owner, training, adopting, adapting.. etc, really anything you feel like. Perhaps you may want to post about a new outfit you purchased for your pup, or his/her vet visit.

The funnest part about journaling is that members are encouraged to post lots of pics and videos. Something that may or may not be encouraged on this site due to web space.. but I know we all love it when someone updates their journal. It really brings a community closer (not that this one needs it) but also makes it inviting to new members. I know for me, I love looking at pictures of people's lives. Especially those who i often talk to online. It's also an easier way to get to know any one particular member because you can look through their journal and get to know them much faster than having to search for all of their individual posts all over the board.
I have a link on my siggy for the board (under journals) if you'd like to see how it works. Not sure if anyone is familiar with journaling from other boards.

Thought it would be a good idea here. If not, that's ok. Just wanted to put it out there.

We love suggestions and I think thats a great one. JiJi is my first dog and sometimes I go back and read some of my questions and laugh at myself. A journal will be a great way to keep tract of all my booboos as a dog parent or all my knowledge that sinking in.

Olivia is my first dog too, that's why I thought it would be an interesting idea. Plus who doesn't like to show off their pets/kids?

I already started keeping a private journal because when my Walter died in Sept. I regretted not having details about his kittenhood. I'm actually thinking of asking my ex-bf to send me copies of video tape we took of him 17 years ago. :( I really miss him so much.

I decided I wanted to record Olivia's life right from the start.
