Maltese: We are more than Champion Dogs. We are the Dog's Champion.

The American Kennel Club is pleased to be celebrating the third annual "AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day" (AKC RDO Day) on September 17, 2005. We have invited and encouraged all AKC dog clubs and other pet-related organizations to take part by holding a community event that publicly promotes responsible dog ownership anytime during the month of September. Please select your state below to find events near you.

The following web page has a search category to find the date for your state:

Picture: Bailey in his new pet carrier purse. I'm hoping to use it when we go shopping at pet toy stores and/or regular people stores. It has a clasp inside to hook to his harness so he will not jump out. Between his regular carrier, car seat, and pet purse, all that's missing is a college fund. If only we could get him a social security number, he would be a real kid.

How many dogs does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

CAT: I don't waste my time with these childish jokes!

POODLE: Sorry, Just had my nails done.

BEAGLE: How many cookies do I get?

WEIMARANER: Light bulb? You want ME to change a LIGHTBULB??

LAB: Why change it? The darker it is, the longer I can sleep.

ROTTWEILER: I'll change the light bulb if I can eat the old one.

SPRINGER: Lightbulb? Lightbulb? That thing I just ate was a lightbulb?

BORDER COLLIE: Just one. And he'll rewire the house while he's at it.

GERMAN SHEPHERD: "I'm kinda busy right now! I have to chase the cat, protect the kids, herd the horses, beg for food and take a nap.
I'll add the lightbulb to my "To Do" list...."

IRISH SETTER: It only takes one, but it will put in a really dim bulb.

And, the MALTESE: Don't worry, my Mommy will do it for me.....
