Hi I'm Susan Mickey's noni (like "nana" in Spanish) and Angel's mom! I have never been involved with anything like this before until Angel told me about it. I am crazy about my daughter but I have been so worried that at one point I actually thought she was going to die. I have never seen her so sick before and I spent most of my time on my knees with her at the toilet or alone with God. The worst part of all was knowing that all of you had been so supportive of her, but my inability to use a computer left me in the dark as to how to let you all know how extremely sick she has been. Her migraines might be due to a Chiari malformation in her brain, rather ironic because she is a premed student and has wanted to be a neurosurgeon since she was 5. I think that her suffering has given her a deeper sense of compassion, as for me it's only made me older, but very grateful because she is beginning to turn the corner. Mickey is the first dog I ever held to my face and kissed, until him I was way too allergic. I can't believe how healing it is to hold a little dog so close and let him kiss you and not get sick and to think it only took 56yrs, to be able to experience that, better late than never. I love that little dog he's like a baby I can't stop looking at him and when I do I just have to pick him up and shower him with kisses. I want to thank you all for sharing the things you do. I will pray for you and our little blessings that God has graced us with, these little pups are true miracles and I am so glad we all have one:) Have a great day. I look forward to sharing more about my interests but I just got done mopping up a huge flooding in my basement and I am really tired. I think I better kiss Mickey right now so I can feel a little happier ha ha :awink:

:mtwelcome: Susan :D

So glad you decided to join us. Angel is a very smart young lady and I'm sure she's going to be a great neuro surgeon. We might be a duo one day because I love the OR.

Mickey is such a special pup for having an Angel looking over him plus a noni :D

Hello Susan and WELCOME TO THE MALTESE TALK FAMILY!!!!!

Just want to thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself and can't tell you how glad that we are to have Angel and now her mom on the forum. It is a small forum and we've really developed some lasting friendships on here, including one with Angel. We are not just a dog forum but a family forum with people who just happen to LOVE the FLUFFS that came into their lives.

I know having Angel sick must put a tremendous stress on your........we just love our kids soooooo much and want the best for them and when they become ill, we are sooooooo limited in the large scheme of things but sometimes they just need us to be there.

It certainly sounds like you have been smitten by the Maltese breed. I have to say that I have been as well as the hubby.....we have FOUR!!! And then of course there is our little Yorkie boy that thinks he runs the place. Takes four females to keep him in place.:lol2::lol2::lol2:

Again Welcome to the Forum!!!!26076

Once Again, Welcome Susan. We are so happy to have you become part of our family. We truly do care about one another and are always here to support each other. We have fun and also discuss important things regarding or babies. We love pictues and videos. I am glad Angel is feeling better and as a parent I understand what it does to you to see her so sick. All you can do is be there for her and we will be here for both of you.
Hugs, Sue
