Mia is 90% outside potty trained. Cody (4 mo.) which by the way I pick up tomorrow.:yay: :yay: :yay: is not outside trained. Should I put down pads or just wing it and try to outside train him from the start? If I put down the pads I think Mia will think it's OK to use them. Any suggestions?:( :(

Go for the outside training for Cody!!! JMO.

Kallie was such a big help in getting Toby outside trained. When she would go out, he'd go out and smell her spot and pee on top of it. Now, she waits and after he pees, she pees on top of his!

They said Toby was pad trained.........yeah right!!! He ripped them to shreds instead of using them. Now Toby tells us when he has to go and when Kallie has to go too. Sounds funny, I know, but it is true!!! Took about two weeks to get Toby fully outside trained and now both are 100% outside trained.

Get pics up right away !!!!! I want to see them together and if you can do a video, oh so much for the better!! I am so excited for you. You wouldn't be having a stop over in Tampa, would you? I'd drive down just to see that Cody guy in person..........oh, and of course, you too!!!:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

I wouls go the OUTSIDE potty training straight away. Sammy Maree and Max are 100% outside trained, now for Ernie, I have trained for both. When we are home he goes outside and when we are out, I leave newspaper down for him and if need be he will go on that. As he gets older he isn't using the paper very often he just holds on till we get back home.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing some pics

We have had Lizzie Rose for a 10 days now and she was doing great.
She was going to the front door to go out when she needed to go !

Today though its Raining Heavy, and she cried and didnt want to go when I brought her outside.
So I put down a pee pad in hopes she uses it but wasnt fast enough...
Now my wife thinks she is going to regress too !

I hope she doesnt :(

Mia did/has regressed some what but that is because she is a spoiled brat! Now Cody who wasn't potty trained will sit by the front door to catch our attention. Mia will go inside or out....if she goes inside it will be at the spot where her pad use to be at.

Well Lizzie didnt have a chance to use the pads, my wife came up with an idea for me..... I took her out with an umbrella over her.

I am so glad she didnt find the camera fast enough or I'd be all over the internet !

Well one problem solved !

John.....trying not to hijack the thead :)

John....don't be so hard on yourself. When we brought Jack home from the shelter he didn't and still doesn't bark to go out....he rings his bell!!!! Believe me that was fun to learn to do. And, he only wanted to go out front on the grass not on the side of the house where we had stone. After one month of standing at all hours of the day and night with him out front, I said he has got to learn to use the side, so our lawn man put a piece of sod down on the side of the house (we had to take up one section of the stones) and when he figured out that he better use that he learned real fast. I was not about to stand outside in rain or snow!!! This spring, the sod came up and the stones went back down and now no problem.
It takes time, but they are so smart, she will learn. Just be patient.
