I was pm'ing with Bek74 today. She is a friend of mine from another forum. She told me that everyone here are totally different from the people on the other site that we are members on. Plus I was feeling guilty for not mentioning it earlier. I am a Maltese Breeder. I am very proud of what I do and how I raise and care for all of my babies and adults. I have my adults genetically screened once a year and stay in contact with ALL of my adoptive families. So that I can make sure that the baby is happy and healthy. It is also a big help to know how everyone is to make sure nothing is popping up down the line that I have no knowledge of. Bek told me that you would not judge me here and I sure hope and pray that she is right. I felt really guilty for not mentioning it before, so now I am coming forward.

Well the term is weening. It means to get the baby from suckling on mom's teats. And the babies are actually in a sac of water just like human baby's. I myself will open the bag and dry baby myself with a clean towel. Because I do not want the baby to get cold from the sac of water. I have just started a thread that I think you will find very informative. It is titled The birth of Maltese. I hope that it will be able to show you just what it is all about.
