Snow is 3 months old and I am still giving her some wet food in the morning and at night. She eats dry food during the day. I read somewhere that once they get 3 or 4 months old they shouldn't eat wet food anymore. What do some of you feed your babies?

LilyBelle is now a little over a year old and this has worked for her so far.
I feed her Natural Balance Potato and Duck (dry) and Lamb and Rice (wet). She eats that combination for dinner and for breakfast she eats dry kibble. She eats at 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. She has regular BMs and has no problems eating.
Everyone is different, but this has worked so far for us.

I give Natural Balance Duck and Potato with some cooked human food twice a day and it is working find for mine! I had them on the solid gold wee bits but no longer give it to them! Just a decision I made, nothing wrong with the product.

Mine have dry all day ( free feed) Royal canin and they have wet once a day ( in the morning), I can't mix the two together because they end up picking the dry food out.
If what your doing now works for your baby, then there is NO need to change. I have NEVER heard that they should be off wet food at around 3-4mths, They can have it there whole life, along with a balance of dry ( good for teeth).

I have actually read that wet food is better as long as it's very high quality. There's nothing wrong with feeding wet after 4 months of age. Many times, vets will suggest no more wet food after puppyhood simply because of their teeth, but as long as you keep their teeth clean, there's no reason they can't have wet food. We use Petzlife Oral Gel and a baby finger toothbrush on our babies and it helps keep their teeth very clean.
We have taken both of our dogs off of dog food completely and homecook for them. A really great guide on how to do this and information on dog nutrition and health is : Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Health for Dogs and Cats
This book is amazing, and I can't recommend it enough.

Hi
I just got Sprocket and he doesn't want the dry stuff. After 2 days, I got him Pedigree puppy food pouches and mix in just a little with his Nutro. He likes it better although he doesn't like to eat period. I am so used to my Labs who wolf down their food in 3 seconds flat. So, basically, I am in the same boat with you.

Maybe you could add a little chicken or low/nonfat cottage cheese to Sprocket's food. That might entice him to eat a little more :) Good luck!

I didn't think you were being mean...It's just that sometimes I'm a little slow on the "internet lingo".
