to make a recommendation for a good blow dryer that won't set me back a couple of hundred dollars? My malt has a beautiful coat but it is soooo thick.

I have that one. I got it from Drs. Foster and Smith. The first one I had to return cause it wouldn't stand up - the stand thingy had broken. They sent a new one right away and that one works fine - I haven't had any problems with it. So I would say if you order it, make sure you can exchange it without a hassle in case something is wrong with it. Customer service at F&S told me other people had problems, too.
