Why do you like the PS Bright White? What does it do that you like it so much? I have the Coat Handler products already... Is the Bright White hard on the hair - drying or anything?

I think all the bright white products are hard on the hair and dries it out so you can't do it every bath. I love the smell of the product and how nice and white it makes the coat but can't say I love it anymore than the Coat Handler products. So use the bright white stuff with caution so you don't damage the hair.:D

Right now I am trying the Petzlife Miracle Snow White Shampoo. I wanted to try it to see if it helped the staining at all. It's a good shampoo and doesn't seem to dry anything out so far. I got it from Beyond Spoiled. I'm actually a BS tester! :lol2: :lol2:

I really, really hate this staining business. It makes her look so bad. I took some pictures this morning of her and they might be good ones if that staining wasn't there. I don't even want to post pics of her! :(

See what I mean???:(

The first pic has Brea trying to get in on things... these two wrestle SO much.

I must admit, I haven't washed her little face yet today.

Omega, she's adorable!! Maltese many times have tear stains when they're pups.

I have used the Pet Silk bright white. I did not see a difference. I used to love Pet Silk but not anymore. I loved it because it was made with lots of natural products. But a year ago I bought some shampoo and conditioner and liquid silk for a friend of mine and the ingredients have changed. I still have a few bottles of the old shampoo and conditioner and liquid silk. But when I am out of them, I will buy something else.

Omega, she may still be teething. Personally, I think she looks adorable. Her staining is not bad at all.:luv:

Omega she is a cutie, I don't see real bad tearing. Looks to like you are doing a very good job. I use Boush and Lomb eye wash on the tear stains. What I am doing with Darlii is putting the eye wash on a cotton ball a couple times a day and clean the eyes and face real well. I was told by one of my mentors that the stains will go away in no time. But like has been said before as long as she is teething you will probably have the tearing. Did you by any chance see her parents? Did they have tearing? If they did that is a very good indicator it is in the genetics and. Here are a couple of pictures of her. You can see how the staining is going away.

Oh my gosh... she is beautiful!!! How do you get her so shiny, or is it in the genes?

I will try the eye wash and see if it helps Myla. I did see her parents but I can't remember about the staining. The breeder had them both cut really short. Wish I could speed up the teething process! :D

She hasn't even lost her baby teeth yet, so we have a ways to go. :( Thanks for thinking she's cute.

I just don't want to end up with an ugly Maltese!!! :tongue6:

There is no such thing as an "ugly" maltese. You will see that in time after the teething process, the stains will decrease but in the meantime do the eye wash daily and I am sure you will see some improvement. Myla does appear to have a lovely coat.......she is still beautiful even with the little bit of staining.
We adopted Kallie at 2 1/2 years old and you can see how badly her staining was by that time with no special care or attention being given to her and then the change with just effort to grooming an diet.

I would never use a whitener more than once every 3 months, it drys the coat, It can actually do more harm than good if not used right.I have never used a whitener on Nemo so I wont start now..JMO:)

It doesn't look like you need to with Nemo! He looks so white and handsome. (I was going to say pretty, but he might not like that. :D )

Great pics! The second one is cute... I kind of like her with shorter hair. :D Not as short as the first pic, but... (don't shoot me...) :lol2: So you don't think there is such a thing as an ugly Maltese, eh? Hmmmm...

Have you ever been to the The Kelly Co. website? They have a whole mess of pics of Maltese dogs and there is this one where this beautiful white dog has mud all over it's face. It looks like it just dunked it's face in a mud puddle. :lol2: It is so funny looking.

I'm sure though that you would never let Kallie play in the mud. :wink5:

Yesterday we had thunderstorms in the morning and the dogs were a little wild cause they weren't able to go outside except to pee, which two of them wouldn't do anyway - my son asked why they couldn't go outside (beside the rain, thunder and lightening) and I told him I had just given Myla a bath the day before and she was NOT going out no matter what. I didn't care where she went potty... I wasn't going to let her out in our dirt drive in the rain! She gets dirty so fast anyway....

Maggie has alot of discolor on her feet and tear ducts and mouth.
First I thought it was her color But the vet told me it is because her teeth are bad. (they get fixed july 10th)
So once her teeth problem is fixed all discolor should fade away.
But thanks for the tip about bosch/lomb I will surely try that

HAS ANYONE EVER USED CRYSTAL EYES ON THEIR BABIE??

IT IS A CLEAR LIQUID THAT IS USED FOR THE TEAR STAINS. YOU PUT IT ON A COTTON BALL OR CLEAN CLOTH AND DAB IT ON THE STAINS. I RAN INTO A LADY AT A PETSTORE THAT SAID SHE USED IT ON HER MALTESE.

 THANKS, BECKY AND BELLA

I don't really like the Pet Silk whitening products, for me they are just 'ok'. I like using Biogrooms superwhite because it's tearless and I use ShoSno if I want to use a whitening shampoo on the entire body. I only use the Biogroom on the facial furnishings because it's too drying to use everywhere! I have tried sooo many different products and I always go back to the ShoSno and the Biogroom superwhite.
Your baby is just adorable!!
