I recently brought home the cutest little Maltese, Lilli. She is 14 weeks old and chases after my 2 year old yorkie. I think Natalie would like to play but Lilli pulls her tail, tugs on her face and bites her ears. Lilli has a great disposition but plays too hard, Natalie hasn't been around too many dogs and is having a little trouble with the baby. Sometimes she will get playful and they chase each other, I just don't know how to stop the biting and hair pulling. When she tries to bite me, I firmly say NO BITE and she is starting to kiss instead. When I see her pulling Natalie's hair I say NO BITE hoping she will get the message but I don't know if it will be fast enough for Natalie. Any ideas???:(

That's pretty much how puppies play together. My dogs think top knots are for pulling each other around with. :lol2: I usually don't interrrupt the playing unless someone is trying to be really dominant or if someone is getting hurt. (or unless the noise drives me crazy!)
By the way - welcome to MT!!!!

Mine grab onto each others ears and hang off them :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: . I would let them be, Lilli needs to learn her place, if Natalie has a problem with it then she needs to put Lily in her place. Others wise, just watch and laugh.

This is normal. My Betty has both my girls harrased. Her mum more or less lets her do anything, but if Boots is getting fed up with her she will let her know by putting her in her place. And beleive me Betty knows when Boots has had enough. Actully it is very funny, after Boots has done this, little Betty comes over to her and is so sweet to her, its as if she is saying sorry. And of course Boots just melts and the play starts all over again. So not to worry victoria if Natalie gets fed up she will let her know.

Sounds like LilyBelle too, she thinks Kira's ears are a chew toy or something. It's a normal for her to play like that. I'm sure Natalie will soon let her know that it's not acceptable.
