Hi everyone :) I have the Gold Series Chris Christensen pin brush, but I'm just wondering if there is an alternative to getting this brush. I would like another brush, not CC that does not have the little balls on the end. Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks!!

I have heard that #1 All Systems brushes are good. A lot of breeders state that the are as close to CC as you can get. I have never tried the but here is the link if you would like to check into them..........

Oh no! That's not it at all. I love my brush! :) I've just read that several people have brushes without the balls on the end that are not CC brushes, so I was just wondering what kinds of brushes everyone has.
Again, I do love my furbabies' CC brush, just wondering if there is an alternative.
I have read also about the Mason Pearson brushes, but those are pretty expensive, so I don't think I'll be going that route right now.

Sorry Marisol, I did interpret your post wrong, I thought you were saying you wanted another brush without the balls..........and so thought your CC brush did have them. SO SORRY, my mistake. So which of the CC bruhes do you use. I have been getting my brushes that are German made called PSI and they come in different sizes and pin length and no ball tips at the end. I am now just replacing after 2 years the smallest one. And I like them but every body raves about the big difference with use of the CC brush. How long do the CC brushes last?

Does it come in a smaller size for doing around the face with that shaped handle? Mine are alittle hard to hold as the handles are very narrow.

I think I saw where someone asked how long the CC brushes last. I have had mine about 4 months and the pins are coming out. But I feel it may be because of how much I use it.:D Maggie have you compared yours to a CC and like it the best? I am fixing to have to order a new brush and if that one is better than the CC I will be getting it.

Carol I have the 7 1/2 inch Buttercomb and think it is way to big. I like the way it glides through the hair but I ordered the wrong size. When I place my order for a new brush I will be ordering the 5 inch Buttercomb. I also have the 7 1/2 inch handle so if anyone has the 7 1/2 inch comb and needs it I can not use it either and will be happy to send it to you. :hearter:

Carol, haha, I was confused too trying to go back over what I had written, and I could see where it would have been confusing. I should have worded it differently :)
I've had my CC gold series pin brush since February and have had no problems with it so far. It's totally intact, and glides nicely through their hair. Miko and Emma both have longer coats, not to the floor like your babies, but they have pretty long hair. I can't remember how much they cost, I think somewhere around $30?? not sure...
The German made brushes that you have...Are you happy with them? And where could I buy them?
Mia's mom, that brush looks nice. Are you totally satisfied with it? I have heard about those brushes, but didn't know if they were any good. It's a great price too!

Yes, I do like the brushes but really have nothing to compare them with so really don't know if they are up to par with the CC brushes. So I was thinking that maybe I would buy a CC brush and see if I really notice a difference in the brushing or their coats. But below is where I got the German made brushes. I do plan on ordering the CC brush though and make the comparison for myself.

Actually the site that Maggie posted has the same brushes I use as well and $1.00 cheaper on the large size.............of course depending on the shipping costs of the site, it may be the same price in the end. But I think I will try to order some from the petedge site from now on as they are just a bit cheaper on all of the sizes and I have one of each. Still thinking on the CC brush.

I really like them..........I will be getting some more of them, especially the smallest one. But I am going to buy one of the gold series CC brushes as well, I think the 34mm for $36 with 1 1/4" pins as it says it is for fragile coats.

I own a couple of CC brushes as well as all systems as I have other dogs breeds as well and I use them for all my dogs.
I like about all system brushes because they are rust proof, and at half of the price which I paid for CC equivalent. CC brushes drives me crazy with the rust issue which the country I reside in is of high humidity even in air-conditioned room. I upgraded most of it to fusion brushes which is anti-rust, anti-static as well as with a more comfortable grip since I have a bigger hand.
If your malteses are not super thick and cottony, u wouldn't need the 35mm which Lisa (CC people) mention its more for fluffing up the coat during drying. I use to have a gold 35mm for that purpose and rusted in less than a year of very low usage...probably once every 1-2 weeks x the amount of dogs I bath because I don't usually bath all of them myself.:p

right here I'm too restricted by the brands that people wanted to bring in hence I ordered online and ship in all the way from other countries. I was told hindes, PSI also not bad, but haven't really seen them in the shops around me hence I didn't have the opportunity to use them.

I have like five of the PSI brushes and they are good but I do like the CC brushes just a bit better. But that is just my opinion and preference.
