Kallie's New Do----Prepare Yourself

Yes, I cut Kallie's hair.............shorter than I had wanted to but she is very happy about it and I am glad I did it and I will never let her hair grow long long again like it was, dragging on the floor. She is much more
perky and wants to be held all the time now. She so hopes her strong handsome man-dog Jack approves.

I deserve it all........keep it coming!!! ROFL...........I cried all morning after I cut her. It started out as a trim but well, she is short now and comfortable and wow, only took me five minutes to brush her out and do her topknot this morning. What a plus! But it is taking me some time to get use to her new do. I am patiently watching it grow; I want it a bit longer on the body but not like before. She was beautiful in a full coat but she seems much happier with the "weight" off! Do I need to join the short haired malt club somewhere???

Kallie.....all Jack could say was grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!!!! He absolutely loves you no matter what you look like....long or short.....he says he loves you for your beautiful Malti eyes, those lushes lips, that cute little button nose, that cute little top knot, and of course your wonderful wit, wisdom and intelligence. Of course he adores your sense of humor......and oh what the heck.....he says there's nothing wrong with having a great body too:wink5:
Jack says he loves that little wiggle in her walk when she walks to show her wiggle!!!

I think Kallie is gorgeous! Leo's first cut at the groomers was a shock to say the least and since then I've done the deed twice and let's just say I'm a beginner!:D But he has 1 to 3 baths a week from playing outside and has so much fun not to mention the ease in grooming every night. I think you'll love it in time and I think (based on leo's reaction to his first cut) Kallie probably already does!:lol2:

I don't think it's possible for a maltese to look ugly...no matter you do!:D :D

I used to keep Chloe very long, then one day I cut her hair 3 inches long or so, then the next time it went shorter and then shorter and shorter. You wouldn't believe how short I just shaved her this weekend. I really do think they look so cute short!! And sooo maintenance free.

I am sorry!:( :( I still love the long lush locks.........just felt she needed the cut for healthier hair and it was soooooo hot and humid here. I am going to let her grow back out somewhat but never to the floor again! I still think she looks pretty too!:hearter: :hearter:

Yep the maintenance is incrediblly different. A couple of brushes and a new topknot and she is good to go under 10 min. or less!!!! I like that part alot!:)

You are so right Cathy, an ugly maltese does not exist!!!! I love the long look but realize that she needs to be comfy and happy too! And believe me she is happy!

Thanks Laurie.............I really think she is much happier with the short do. She was so playful last night and wants to be held all the time. I think it was the right thing to do, it will just take me a bit to get use to it. I also am going to let it grow out a bit as I did get it a wee bit too short. :D :D

Carol she looks awesome. You did such an amazing job. I need you here closer to me to cut mine for me.:D I have found that all of mine are so much happier when I cut them. Where we live we do not have to worry about harsh winters so she will do great in the winter also.

Thanks Bek, it took a lot out of me to get into this club. I was so hard to make that first snip and bue she does feel a lot cooler and happier now. She was so playful last night; she's like a new dog!!!! I don't regret it; maybe "I" am still in shock! lol
