Our school system is not traditional, they don't get 3 months off in the summer. Instead they have tracks and revolve in and out throughout the year, 2 months on, couple weeks off, like that. It's actually pretty nice but since it was chrismas they got even more time off and it's been LOOOONG LOL:fainted:

My kids finished December 13th and go back Tuesday January 23rd ( Monday is pupil free day, go figure).

My Children have 10 days off in April ( Easter)
2 weeks off in June/July ( plus pupil free day)
2 weeks off in Sept/Oct ( Plus pupil free day)
Then 6 weeks off over Christmas

My boys always start back on a Tuesday, The Monday is pupil free day which gives the teachers the day to set up. Not to mention all the other public holidays they have.

we have 2 weeks at easter
7 weeks July/August
1 week in October
2 weeks at xmas

& long weekends here & there! & we call pupil free day "Inservice Day"
