Lizzie Rose is sometimes behaving badly when on a leash, we need to
keep her on one so she doesnt get away from us.
She is so darn fast, its almost impossible to catch her.
We live in a woodsy area and I wouldnt want her taking off into it,something would certainly want to eat the white little bunny rabbit...thats what she looks like running :)
So 80% of the time she is fine on it, but sometimes she gets aggrivated
and chews at the lead and wont walk.So I have to pick her up and then she gets this Big Dog Attitude and gets mad....sorta funny but not becoming of a sweet little Dog :)
So how do I break her of this ??

John....first of all, when walking Lizzie Rose you should always keep her on a leash. Have you taken her for any puppy classes yet? That would be a great way to get help and have her learn that you are the pack leader and not her. Jack went through puppy, intermediate, and advanced classes. He's still a little stinker sometimes (because he's still a puppy) and we never let him run around in the front yard loose.
Don't pick her up....she has won the game then. If she stops and gets that big dog attitude....simply turn the opposite direction and start walking. She'll get the idea to catch up to you. You could carry some small treat pieces with you and when she has done what you want put her in a sit and say good girl and reward with a tiny piece of treat. Then practice some more. After awhile, she'll be at your side and you won't need the treat.
Good luck.....just don't give in to those big black beautiful eyes and cute expression they can give.....you are the leader.

We have been working with her and she seems to be doing better.
I havent done the Puppy classes yet but we will be soon.
I just need to decide when and where, there are a few places around me and one woman that comes to your house to work with you.
So I am not sure what way I want to go yet !
I have been using the treats for rewards, so she is motivated !
Our latest thing is getting her to ring a Bell to go outside.
She is getting it, just need some more time....
Yes I need to show her I am the Alpha Dog.....instead of one of her buddies!
Thanks for the tips....

Sounds like you have a handle on it. Jack is a bell ringer too!!! Isn't it a stitch to see them ring that bell? My other Malt Max would bark and look at the door to go out...this little guy never has barked to go out....the trainer suggested the bell and it works great.
