I don't know if you are familiar with Sheila at Bayou Collectibles & the ceramic water bowls she makes. They are fashioned sort of like the plastic buddy bowls with a very small opening for drinking which helps to keep their face furnishings clean & dry to hopefully keep them from staining.

Anyway, the one she sells now is a 1 cup size for $15 plus $3.85 shipping. I like it but it is so small that I cannot keep it filled up for my 2. So I wrote her asking about a 2 cup size. She would have to do the block & start from scratch for this one & wanted to be sure that she could sell at least 10 for $20 each.

I told her that I would post the information & if she received orders for 8 others, I would order 2. If this is something you would be interested in, please email & let her know. Her email address is bayousam@covad.net

I would also ask that you post here that you did so since I am really hoping that she will do this for us.

Ok hope this works. This is the small 1 cup size that she sells now. The one that we are hoping to get her to make if we can get 10 sold would be about 2 cups. She can't make it too much larger or it would be difficult for the dogs to drink from & us to clean.

I do think she has about 4 ordered now.

That bowl looks cute. She's very talented.

They are cute but the best part is that they help keep their beards, face furnishings dryer. If I use regular bowls, we have "brown mouth" and little dribbles of water all over the floor. I have the smaller one & it is nice but my two can empty it in a morning. I have found it dry so many times that I emailed her asking her if she could possibly make one a little larger.

It is beginning to look like it may be a go as I think we have about 5 ordered that I know of.:) I don't think I mentioned earlier that it would probably be November before they were ready as she has to start completely from scratch to make these.

I have two stainless steel bowls and have noticed as their beards grow longer, less hair gets into the bowls (1/2 pint). And there is no staining on their faces. Also a water bottle is a second solution to messy beards and droplets of water from the floor. Thanks for showing the pic, I have been educated.

I have the stainless bowls in a pretty wrought iron holder but my bowls must be too large. Mine look like they have had a bath if I put water in them & then there is a trail of water from the kitchen to the living room as the water drips out of their beards. I have a Yorkie and a Maltese (both about 4#) and the Malt is the worst offender and starts to show stains on his beard area.

Mine will drink out of the bottle but they don't stay in a crate so there is nothing to attach it to plus I have heard that they may not get enough water drinking out of a bottle. As I said, I love Sheila's small bowl - I just am afraid I will not check it often enough which is why I am hoping she will make larger ones for us.
