Winter nose ...

In Australia we don't seem to have as much problem with nose pigmentation as other people . I have noticed several Maltese who get faded pigment or winter nose . One of my shih tzu breeder fiends in England sent me this , I hope it is helpful .

or seaweed tabs as she had the pigment to start with these will help bring it back a lot of bitches lose their pigment as they get older this is black as well as the livers its a hormone thing...or winter nose in the winter the nose gets paler if you use these tabs it will help restore it..

I read somewhere that loss of pigmentation on the nose can mean they are not getting enough sunshine. Anybody else heard of this??? Of course, living in Florida where there is plenty of sunshine and having a lanai, a place Kallie frequents........her nose is as black as coal!!! Even with her long coat, I find her outside on the lanai taking in some rays!!!! But I never leave her out there too long as I know she can get a sunburn. I will have to show you a pic of her with her sunning hat!!! LOL Really, she does have a hat for when she is in the sun!!! Really!!!:D

i noticed when they are super black they tend to come with cow skin and i dont like the cowskin so i perfer a little bit brown and pink skin
yes im a wackO
my girls both have lots and lots of cowskin darker nails, their pigement is BLACK!
my dueci is a little brown but all pink skin and white nails i perfer that :twocents:

but i too would like to know the before and after results elaine
who knows maybe dueci will be a lot cuter with a blacker nose
