I have it scissor cut , it looks great when its angled and done evenly. I hate shaving I much rather have a scissor cut..LOL

yeah i trimmed it earlier going along the shape of his face. Enzo's hair got pretty longish but I don't know if my trimming will eventually look weird once the hair is floor length.

Oh no lol. that would get sooo dirty when he eats. I meant the rest of the hair. I wasn't sure if it will look weird if i cut his beard too short in comparison to the rest of his hair.

About how many inches from where the mouth ends do you cut it? Would 1.5 - 2 inches in length be too short looking?

nemo is in a puppy cut so his body hair is short, I think it will look fine however short~ it wont look funny even if the rest of his hair is long..:D

Well here is a pic of Kallie after I cut off her long locks, maybe it will give you an idea. Everyone thinks I should cut her beard a little shorter to match her body though.

I think Cody and Kallie look great. I think If I do get a girl I will leave it long, it's also hard cause Nemo is 10pds compared to my next not being over 5. I think when they weigh more its more work:(

ERR - my Teddy is 20 pounds and no more effort than the small ones to brush :D . I don't trim the chin hair either - I like the oriental charm it adds . Sarah

If the coat is long on the body, I don't trim the beard. I like a fuller beard also on my two that I shaved, but that is just me and personal preference!

 Do you trim the topknot as well???

Kallie's topknot is getting really long but it is now starting to blend in with her ears. I, too, like the fuller beard as you can tell by Kallie's pic. Now Toby seems like his moustache hair is taking forever to get long so that it doesn't stick out, but maybe that is just a yorkie thing.

Hehe, you should see them together now, with the same haircut! The hubby usually can't tell them apart, he has to say Caddy's name and the one who starts wiggling her entire body and tail is Caddy, LOL. She is the tail wagger. They are related through Lucy's grandpa (he is Caddy's greatgrandpa) and of course, Risque Business (because he seems to be in everybody's pedigrees, LOL!)

I honesty have not scissored a THING on Skwooshee's face. Even as a groomer I wouldnt dare...heehee. I do round up his feet. Only once did i trim his skirt. And that was less than a quarter of an inch.

Hey, I'd still love to see a picture tutorial of rounding up the feet! I'm getting slightly better and not doing a hack job, but I still have a LONG way to go!
Skwooshie is so handsome! Are you growing his coat out?

One of you guys HAS to do a feet tutorial!! Video taping it would be awesome. If I show with you again, i'll bring my video camera and we have to get it on film. I'm back to hacking the feet, i don't know why. *pained sigh*

I Would be glad to volunteer Dain *LOL* Seriously she has talked about doing that for sometime. I still part the hair all the way around the ankle and spray the comb so I can comb it upwards away from the feet without getting the hair on the foot wet. That way if you do a little nick you still have the leg hair to fall down and cover.*smart cookie A?*
