I had to answer pedigree but really, it's personality, appearance and pedigree. I answered though based on buying a show prospect, if I was a buying for a pet, I would base it on personality and potential for a healthy pup! (ie buying from a good breeder who does testing)

I probably messed up the poll. I put "other". What's most important to me is the health, then personality, then looks. So I guess maybe I should have clicked on pedigree? but pedigree doesn't automatically mean that genetic testing was done, does it?? I'm so confused. :lol2: :lol2:

even if genetic testing is done it doesnt mean there will be no health problems, but going with a reputable breeder means if there is a problem you can bet she will be with u every step of the way verse where I got nemo at a petstore who's so called breeder couldnt give a flying cluck:lol2: :lol2: cluck I made that up cluck, get it:confused: :tounge:

Oh so true Andrea. Definitely a reputable breeder is the only way to go. Of course there are health problems that may occur in even the best bred fluffs. Ok well anyway, healthy parents are what's most important to me. :wink5:

Health and personality are most important to me, so buying from a reputable breeder is very important. In case health problems do arise, I want a breeder who takes responsibility for the pups her doggies produce :)

Most Def. personality! A good pedigree is important to, but it doesn't mean as much to me. As long as they're sweet and have a cute teddy bear face, I'm good to go,haha:wink5:

It was a hard choice between pedigree and personality. Having rescued Jack and not knowing his background we fell in love with him the moment we saw him at the shelter. He just looked at us and went right for Tony and that was it, they were best buds.

Ok for me it's personality, size, health then pedigree. But after I aquire them they all get somewhat "weird" after awhile. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

I chose other because to me the health is the most important. You can have a beautiful top quality pup but it won't matter if it isn't healthy. And I would say money would be last on my list as I don't see it as that important if you are getting a pup that is everything you want.

Well I hit other. The first thing I would look into is the health of mum and dad to make sure I was getting a healthly 1. Ok, maybe I should have hit pedigree, Cause I would want to chose the breed first. Oh I dont no. As long as I had a healthy dog, with lots of charcter I would be heathly. I suppose when you are looking to buy a pedigree dog, you have to take price into it, to make sure you can afford it. Well Carol you got me really thinking there, didnt you.

see thats the problem, thats why alot of people go to pet stores they can't afford these prices. I mean some want girls and girls are priced anywhere form 2500 to 4000, so people think holy crap I can't afford that but sometimes they end up paying more in vet bills...

I hit pedigree because is a single word plenty of very important matters:
- it gives you information about the breeder and how they gave birth to the "family" (imbreeding, crossbreeding or....), the awards they had which also means their reputation, etc
