I'm having a nervous breakdown just thinking about it.
Already put in my 1 week vacation, so I could stay home to care for her.
I was going to wait until she turn 10mths the end of Oct.
When I had my boys neutered I wasnt this worry.
With her Im sick to my tummy. I just hope shes not going to be in too much pain.

LOL...I was a nervous wreck and after I saw her that she was jumping and running like nothing i was so relieved her pain meds sat unused in the fridge. She will be ok!

Not to worry. Kallie was a little stiff at first and I did give her some pain meds just in case but by two days end, it was as though she had not been spayed at all. Now with Brandy, they did an exploratory surgery on her which required a larger opening and it looks sore and she was still a little sensitive with it when we picked her up 2 1/2 days later. Now she is fine and running and she gets her sutures out next Thursday. The reason for the exploratory was because no records were left with her at the pound and so they had to see if she had been spayed and needed to be extra sure. My vet said it would heal up nicely and you'll never see it. Can't tell that Kallie has been spayed either. Just a nice soft pink belly.

Just a side question here: Do you know if the vet uses staples, inside sutures or outside sutures??? Just curious.

My little 3 1/2 lb. pom, Nala was spayed at 1 1/2 yrs. (I didn't get her til then) and while the first 2 days she wasn't herself, she just bounced back to normal in no time. Don't stress yourself out too much, these things are done everyday. I know, I know...I was still stressed too.

Take care,
Cathy:D

Awwwww I know you have to be worried. I know that when my Jap. Chin Angel got spayed I felt so sorry for her. But I think I was worse off than she was. She was back to herself within a couple of days.

I forgot to ask my vet that. I'll do that tomorrow.
Can you tell me the difference, and which is better for them.

Thanks,
Natalie

It's so hard to have these things done for them but they come through with flying colors. How special she is to have a mommy that thinks so much of her.

oh and my vet uses glue.

Aww, try not to worry so much, she will do just fine. I know it is so hard seeing these little ones go through a surgery. Heck I was a nervous wreck when Scampers just had to get his baby teeth pulled.

Oh and my vet uses the dissolvable stitches that go in the inside. I like them much better because you don't have to worry about them pulling out stitches or staples and I think it is a lot more comfortable for them as well.

Skwooskee had outside stitches. I just got them removed like 10 days later. I know...its so scary. As you know, I have four pit bulls and honestly I didnt worry in the least bit over the surgery.

But with Skwooshee I was worried sick. He came out fine. That first night and following day he was down but after that he was same old same old Skwooshee.

Hugs to Pani!!!!! It was great seeing her. Her and Skwooshee can play together hormone free (well more to Skwooshee than Pani...hahaha!)

sorry for not updating on Pani.
she doing great. We're not having her spay monday, like I had planned.
I cancel her appt. yesterday due to my busy work schedule.
Too much drama and we just have 3 new employee working at my dept.
I dont think its a great idea for me to go on vacation yet.

I'm hoping friday I can get her spay instead.
