Pee and Poo's in different areas!

Hi All, my maltese/shih tzu puppy CeCe is new in my home. I am trying to potty train her and im not sure if its improving or its coincidental. Well she seems to be pee'ing on the pee pads about 80% of the time but poos in a a different area...IS this normal :confused: , or can I ever get her to do it all in the same area? Thanks!

Hi are you confining CeCe to a certain area of the house or giving her full access? The best thing to do is to keep her in a smaller area at first while training her. I have 4 little ones and when I first started training with pee pads, I confined them to the kitchen with their pad. It worked great and now they mostly hold it until they go outside but on days we are away, they will run to their pee pee pads.

yes she is confined to the laundry room...but even in the laundry room she'll poo in one corner and pee on the pads only sometimes...

If she's anything like mine she will start off on the mat but end up elsewhere, they tend to do a little walk & spin while pooing, have you tried putting 2 mats down?
