I cut his ears (hair) short
6442
It took me a whole week to get them even up. Just kept getting shorter and shorter......End result was not exactly what I wanted. I wonder how fast it will take for this screwup to grow? And as long as I'm here. Leo's hair on his paws is so dingy. I shampoo with whitening shampoo weekly it just won't get white again. Any suggestions?

Cathy I think he is adorable. You did a wonderful job.
PS I know the feeling trying to get them even. It can be a pain in the rear at times. I have one that still is uneven. I just blame it on his head calling him wabbles.:D :D

When my daughter (Brooke) saw him she says...OMG! He looks HIDEOUS! Course, everything is hideous to her these days. Glad Leo doesn't know what "hideous" is. :lol2: :lol2:
I'm going to blame it on the wabble head like Becky.:D
Andrea, just thinkin :hmmm:...is that why we don't get Nemo pics? :scratchhd:

So how long before they were normal length?
:lol2: :lol2: I'm holding back on those little stray hairs that I want to "fix" so badly  At this point I need to leave well enough alone.:D Family is threatening to hide all the scissors.:p

Leo still looks sweet. Now for me I didn't cut enough off the ears and beard........so my kind and loving friends on MT told me when I gave Kallier her 11 inch trim (went from 14 inches to three inches). But her body hair has really grown out and time for another haircut. I will cut the beard and ears a little shorter this time but only by an inch. I am not a scissor happy person, I always tend to "undercut." :D :D

Cathy, I think he looks adorable. I think when their ears are shorter they have that puppy look again. What clippers do you use? I want to buy a pair, but have no idea which to buy.

Thanks, Robin. The puppy look was the goal here. :lol2: Just got a little carried away:lol2: :lol2: ....
I bought a Kim Laube Speed Feed Trimmer on Ebay for $65.00 which included shipping. What I liked about it was an adjustable blade (9, 10,15,30, 40) and that it's cordless with two rechargable batteries and guide combs. The replacement blades are about $25.00 which includes shipping. I really like it though I'm not the greatest when it comes to grooming yet. If I wouldn't have gotten such a great deal I was considering an Oster Turbo 2 speed because I think there is more versatility for different lengths and a wider cut. Again, I am NOT a groomer but I guess that's obvious.:lol2: :lol2:

Cathy, I am looking for a clipper that I can use on my shih tzu, yorkie and my 2 malts. So I have silky hair, cottony hair and my shih tzu has a thick coat. So I will need to use different blades, right? or is there a blade number that I can use for all? The trimmer you have you say has adjustable blades. So does this mean you dont have to switch blades? Sorry for so many questions.

No switching of blades. You just switch a knob to whatever blade setting you want and it adjusts, you can see the difference. It works really well in my opinion but like I've said, I'm no pro. I'm just not sure how many cuts I got out the blade cause my neighbor used it on her poodle too. I don't really have a point of reference because I have never used any other clippers/trimmers. Hope this helps:D :D :D
