FRONT toe nail question

I just realized this, im so bad :D
but yes i take my doggies to groomers and when they are in for their vaccines if their nails are long enough I tell my vet to give them a nail clipping only because me is afraid :D

anyways i just found out they have nails not on their paw its like behind their paw in the front legs :confused:
is it jus my 4
or is everyones else fluffs have nails on the back?

I think from your description you mean the dew claws.

Yes all have them, however if you are lucky the breeder removes them within days of them being born.

I once asked my vet to remove them, and she said it is a very painful operation if they are not removed soon after birth. So, of course, at the mere mention of putting Scrappy thru needless pain he still has his. ;)

Kallie has her dew claws but my first poodle had her's clipped shortly after birth and the Yorkie I have now has had the dew claws removed. But at least on Kallie hers are white and I can see to clip them easily. So I guess it depends on the breed............maybe even the breeder.

Not all breeders believe in having the dew claws removed, just give them a little trim along with the others:D They are only of the front paws.

Chloe has dew claws. I don't like the thought of having them cut off :(
