Proclamation for Animal Compassion This Week in DC

In conjuction with it being National Animal Shelter Week, HISTORY will be made this week in Congress on Wednesday when a Proclamation is given.

I am taking my camera and this time will remember a MEMORY stick for it. Duh on me. I am hopeful I will also get some nice Fall photos of the trees in and around DC.

Dear Cathy and Andrea,

I wish like heck off of us that LOVE our doggies could be there. Congress would see the likes of nothing before. I fully believe we show our dogs the utmost in love ever.

For me, it's "going home" really, since I was born there. Not only will we get to go to this great Event but I will also get to see my Mom and Dad. I am VERY excited. Since they are getting "up there" every visit is GOLD to me.

So where you there today? I met so many people I could hardly keep everyone straight. I took photos but am not home yet to share them. Not sure even if I got any great photos but I know I got one I love.

The Event was spectacular! To see so many "heads" of so many different religions agree on ONE thing... was so heartwarming. Also the love that was shown to Mr Wookie blew me away.

There will be photos posted on the Best Friends Site soon and also a BIG story in the Washington Post. What an amazingly beautiful kind group Best Friends are. Please consider going to their site and signing the Proclamation. They would like to get a million signatures within the next year. This is a worthy cause if ever there was one.
