Hi Chachi. I dont own a maltese. But as far as i no, they dont. Have you got 1, or thnking about getting 1.

Do maltese shed?

I have two and they do not shed but they do lose hair like we do if they are not kept brushed. There is always hair loss but it is very minimal if kept groomed! No more loss than what their human owners lose! They are recognized as one of the breeds that are nonshedders!

LB doesn't shed. But OMG, Kira my German Shepard/Lab mix does. I have to vacuum everyday!

I agree:clapsm: :goodpost: :coolsmiley: if you don't brush them like your soposse to they'll shed but if you brush them like your soposse to you'll maybe see a few hairs and that's it:p

Mine don't shed but they do loose hair like their mom.:D For some reason I have the tendency to always brush them when I'm wearing a dark color shirt and then you can see the hair on the shirt.

I hope you get one, but if you do have one that is shedding I would go to the vet just to be on the safe side:D

I don't think she has a maltese yet. She posted that she's just trying to learn some more about them. :) I don't know though, maybe she has a yorkie now??

No maltese are like yorkies, no shedding.

She has two yorkies and is thinking about getting a maltese. I hope she gets a maltese, then she will have the best of both worlds!!

I knew she had yorkies...LOL! That's probably why I put yorkie. Haha!
