I got up this morning at 7am, and the first thing I done as usual, was let the girls out to go toilet. After about 10mins the 3 of them came back in. Well I went into the living room to open the shutters, and when I looked around, Betty was peeing on the rug. . I cant beleive she done this. I mean she was in after 10 minutes and went on the rug. I always see her pee outside in the morning. She isnt fully house trained yet, so sometimes she will pee in the hall, and poop in the bathroom. But this is no big deal for me, as the 2 rooms are both tiled and easy cleaned up. Im just mad that she done it on the rug. I mean this is the only large peice of carpet I have in the whole house. So now im thinking that she is peeing on it all the time. Im so paranoid about my house smelling of dog, that everytime someone calls the first thing I ask them, can you smell dog in here. 99% of the time the answer is no.:D
I dont wana lift the rug, as its a tiled floor, and also, well it makes my living room look nice. (I think,:D ).
Oh she knew that she done wrong, as soon as I caught her, and shouted her name, she ran up the stairs like lightening, and the kids said straight under the bed.
Now am on the rug like someone not wise, with my nose to it, to see if it is smelly.YUK. I cant take it outside and give it a real good scrubbing. Well its freezing here, and it would take forever to dry.:(
OK,am not mad now, the wee frigger is clawing at my legs right now, to get up on my knee. She sure knows how to say sorry. :)
"Yes Betty, I love you really", "no im not gona sell you". "Ok Mammy thanks", "I wont pee on the rug again":hugs2: :hugs2: :dogrun:

aww ! I don't have rugs Nick hates them, I swear it's like an Italian thing, all Italians I know have tile:D
You need to clean it Harriett cause over time it will smell:( Once they do it they usually always do:( I hope thats not the case , but I dont know. You need to get a special cleaner for dogs , they make them. It wipes out the urine scent , cause usually if the scent is still there they dog will go again.
I know you must be in shock :( I hope and pray it was just a one time thing and wont happen again!

Oh am so glad he stopped. Its not very nice when you are walking through the house in the dark, and the next thing you know, you foots wet. Or what I really hate is. You feel something soft squashing through your toes. Then this horrible smell rising up to your noise. LOL.
Oh and hows Nemos willy wonka doing??

H, the best thing to use to take away any smell is Bicarbonate of soda & it's cheap! Just add a teaspoon to a little water & wipe the rug.

Well, H......maybe it was as you said "FREEZING" out and she just couldn't let that warm piddle out of her in that cold weather. Poor wee baby having to pee in such cold.........mine had to do it in 40 degree weather today but they didn't mind at all and it was tuff to get them back in......they loved the slight chill.
Brandy was doing some marking when we first got her and of course it concerned me but every spot she peed, I used this stuff from the petstore that you put on that actually sinks down into the padding underneath and removes the odor to prevent repeats and it leaves the carpet smelling fresh and removes any stain. I swear by it........but of course I am sure it is not something available to you over there.:( :( Glad to report that she no longer marks. I have opened one more door to our master bedroom for her to roam in as she is becoming more trustworthy. I forsee that soon she will have full roam of the house like my other two.

Awwwww, E, I hope so. But three is a lot easier to keep track of and Kallie and Toby haven't gone in the house in over 1 1/2 years so they had full run of the house. Brandy is still learning to "tell" us that she needs to go out as she was not housetrained at 2 years of age but is doing wonderul. She just goes when the others go, but I want her to be able to let me know on her own when she needs to go so that I can fully trust her. We stopped caging her three weeks after we had her but limited her to three rooms. She is up to four rooms now! lol

Aww, Harriett, I'm sure she didn't mean it.
But I can see your frustration. When I was potty training LB, she went on a certain spot on our carpet in the hallway. I had cleaned it up with some enzymatic cleaner I got at a pet store and cleaned it up. I put a little bit of vinegar on it, I read somewhere they don't like the smell. Well, after that dried up, I sprinkled carpet cleaner over that area and vacuumed and she hasn't gone there since.
They sure do have a way from getting us upset then putty in their paws when they display bad behavior.

I'm sorry but I laughed when I read this. I took all three out last night to do their business then I come in an go tinkle myself and in comes Peanut into the bathroom and lifts his leg. (Ok he had the right idea....bathroom = pee but really!!!) So I hell at him and he runs out. When I finish in the bathroom I come out and there are two tootsie rolls waiting for me by my bedroom floor door! I could have killed him!!!!!!! He had just come in from outside!!!!! So yes H I feel your pain!!!!!!!:( I knew there was a reason I have all tile thru-out my house.
