Poptart's before and after pictures!!!

Alright so here are Poptart's before pictures. This was before I cut him and he was severely matted in the entire back end due to him being ill and having diarehea which caused a huge mess and caused him to matt really bad. Oh and I already shaved his muzzle in this pics, his muzzle was soooo bad because he was staining extremely bad from being sick so I shaved it right away so in these pics it is about 3 times better than what it was.

I tried to get a picture of the matted area but it wouldn't show up well on the camera.

Oh and notice his paws. He got a hold of my bigger dog's bone and apparantly it rubbed of on his paws and face. He sure loves making a mess.:rolleyes:

Here are the after pictures!!! I tried my best to blend the hair on the back end with the rest of the hair on his body. I kept the hair on his body as long as I could without it looking bad with the back end. You can probably see on the back leg where the hair isn't as thick where you can see pink. It is not too noticeable but you can feel the difference.

I trimmed the hair on his face so it would go better with the whole cut but I kept his topknot.

What do you guys think?? This is my first time cutting him and first time cutting a dog in this style. Does he look that bad?? My mom says he has a poodle face but I couldn't help that, he needed the muzzle shaved really bad, otherwise I wouldn't have shaved it. I can't wait for it to grow back.
Do you think he still looks cute??

His eyes are getting better. Another week of treatment and it should be all white and back to normal. Let's hope I never have to go through this again!!!

So please tell me what you honestly think??

He looks so good, I'm wondering if it really is the same dog! Oh he looks alot better! You turned a bad situation into a "miracle." Don't know how you did it but you did a wonderful job getting his hair cut.......he really looks soooooooo much better! HONEST!:) And no, I don't think he has a poodle face!

Honestly. I think Poptart looks great with his new short do. I think you should keep it in that cut, he looks fantastic, just great.

I felt so bad about chopping all that hair off but I am sure he is much happier now. And you can see his face a lot better now. I thought about keeping him in a short cut, but I haven't decided yet.
