OH NO!:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: poor baby! I heard that you use ice to freeze it and then it will come out. Not sure how it works on malt hair but it works great on other surfaces. Peanut butter, not sure but could possible work. BUT don't cut it out! We'll come up with something. Just how much gum is in his hair????

The ice thing just wasn't happening so I went on the hunt for some peanut butter...no peanut butter:( So I thought maybe Leo might like a little mayo on them paws. I worked it thru really good while Brooke kept him from licking than combed it all out finishing up with the flea comb to be sure I got it all.:yay_jump: :yay_jump:

I really didn't think I'd be able to get it out. :lol2: Thanks, you guys for your help! Time for a bath now:D

I'm glad you guys are OK, but I admit I laughed once I knew everything was fine. :D :wink5: These fur kids are crazy sometimes..

I had always heard about peanut butter for gum removal but have used mayo to remove pine pitch so it was worth a shot...
In my whole life and having 4 girls I've never had to remove gum so it was a shock. With all my past blunders in grooming him, he is finally looking cute, so I really didn't want to cut. Can definitely laugh now:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: that he's all cleaned up.:D

Maggie, I don't know if I noticed any difference tho his feet seemed alot whiter:confused: but now I have to hear about this mayo treatment, Carol. Do you just slather it on all over or what? and how do you get it all out?

First you wet their coat, towel dry and then pretty much just put the mayo on them and then wrap them in a warm towel for about 10-15 minutes. Just be careful not to put too much on as it makes their coat look oily but it did help Kallie's hair. It washes out with any doggie shampoo. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!!!!
