2am Barking

Well I must say I thought Lizzie was almost over this but it seems to have come back after this weekend. Not sure but maybe this whacked out her schedule a little having 4 days off with us in a row.

Last night around 2am she starts yippin, so I automatically think there is something wrong and go down and see her....she looks fine....maybe she has to pee....so I take her out and she peed...OK fine I can deal with this and put her back in her pen and go back to bed.(this was probably mistake #1)


10 minutes later she is barking her head off again so I wait it out for a little and a half hour goes by and I cant take it so I let her out again and she poops.So now it almost 3 and there she goes again Barking like a rabbid dog till I got up at 4:30..(this was probably mistake #2)

I am more tired today than yesterday.....yep break out the Violins right !

So now I am home and all she is doing is BARKING....OMG My head hurts !

Oh also early last night she was OFF the wall, nothing was safe from the toilet paper to paper towels, she was actually getting stuff off of the kitchen counter when I Turned my back on her...she was semi crazed.
She was gettting somewhat mouthy too and I did the scruffing and she just wanted to bite me even more....

So I am thinking she just wants to be with us when we are home !!!!

Any I deas ?? or does anyone know how I can get Prozak for Puppies ????

Ill pay !!! Just Kidding.....just need to Vent a little !

Try benadryl!!! Just J/K they do make natural seditives for dogs though maybe she is anxious with the change in schedule??

Zoe is currently upstairs barking right now. I am getting out our Christmas decorations and she was watching me earlier, waiting for me to make a mistake and give her access to something she can run off with.

BTW- They do make doggy prozac. A friend of mine had to get it for his pit bull for separation anxiety.

Oh we cant wait to put up the tree that should be Fun for Lizzie !

Thank you John I needed a good laugh today. But when I think about it that may be why I am having a bad day, Haus showed out last night. Hummmmmmm teach me to laugh at you huh????

Well Lizzie slept upstairs with us last night, I set her up in our Bedroom.
She was pretty good and only yipped once when the alarm clock went off.

Hopefully she can keep up the good night behavior or I will end up on the couch !

We all slept a little better :)

See, See.........she is lonely and wants to be with "someone"...........I'm telling you the way to go is to get her another little maltese her size to hang with.:D :D :D And I am not saying you are not great to "hang" with. :D But another little malt would just be so comforting to her.

Leo's latest thing is licking me right on the lips starting at about 4 am. I thought I had him trained to wait until 7 am. This just started two nights ago. So I'm a walking zombie today due to lack of sleep for 2 nights in a row:tired: :tired: No sleep = :mad: :lol2:

Is she in a crate? How about putting her in your room. When my yorkie was a baby she did this bad as well until i put her in my room. If she started to bark i would tap on it and tell her no.

No she isnt in a crate anymore, We use an X-Pen now.

She seems to be doing OK so who knows.....if she regresses she will be heading to Minnesota !

Just curious how he handles the extreme cold....that you have !

Its been in the teens here and maybe slightly lower but nothing that cold yet.
We are expecting snow on sunday night into monday so hopefully Lizzie does OK with it.She is doing so well going outside....

Its been in the teens here and maybe slightly lower but nothing that cold yet.
We are expecting snow on sunday night into monday so hopefully Lizzie does OK with it.She is doing so well going outside....

When I got Leo last Feb. it was sooooooo cold (20 to 30 below) so I decided to potty pad train indoors which went really well until......Tucker arrived on the scene. Trying to train one to go inside and one to go outside is a real challenge. So now I'm thinking that Leo will be trained to go outside which he likes to do btw. All I can say is stay with the outside training! She'll adjust to the cold. My 3 1/2 lb. pom always went outside tho when it got really cold she would "freeze" where she was and I'd have to go out and "rescue" her :D

Sophie used to do that when it was cold (and it can get REALLY cold). She would alternate feet so that she would only have 3 paws touching the snow
